Associated Stealth 3-gear transmission kit

Team Associated have announced that their Stealth 3-gear transmission is now available as a kit and is perfect for adding performance to your RC10 Classic or to freshen up your vintage buggy. This new edition of the Stealth transmission kit offers higher performance and more durability than ever before with the addition of the Factory Team V2 slipper clutch. Also included is a super smooth adjustable ball differential that helps manage the power in the corners. The Stealth transmission kit comes ready to build and uses the same motor plate that is already in your RC10.

LRP S8 NXR Nitro Buggy

LRP have released their new S8 NXR 1/8th scale competition buggy. A completely new design, the main focus has been on improving the geometry of the car. A pretty standard affair it retains the angled engine seen in predecessors while the position of the receiver battery is adjustable between the rear and front of the car, allowing the weight distribution to be changed for different tracks.

Novarossi Vir-Tus .21 offroad & .12 onroad engines

Novarossi have introduced their new engine line for 2014, headed by their new Vir-Tus .21 off road and .12 onroad engines, joining last year’s .21 onroad engine release. The key development of the Vir-Tus over their previous engines is the patented shifted carburetor which sees the carburetor opening mounted to the crankcase off centre to the crankshaft which helps create a better mixture flow inside the engine which in turn improves the fuel efficiency. Other updates seen on both motors are the new main bearing that reduces the inertia of the rotating masses and increase scavenging, new cooling head mounted with 6 screws for a better seal and new balanced crankshafts with the .12 sporting a larger diameter connecting pin. The .21 offroad has 7 ports while the .12 is a 3 port engine, both coming with ceramic main bearing and steel front bearing as standard.

Team Orion Carbon Pro 100C LiPo battery packs

Team Orion introduce their new Carbon Pro 100C LiPo battery packs. Coming in Team Orion’s patented carbon look hardcase the batteries are build using the latest generation LiPo cells with enhanced energy density, a very low internal resistance and 100C discharge rate. The packs, that are build to meet ROAR, EFRA, BRCA and IFMAR specifications, are 5C chargeable and come in a wide range of configurations including 2S standard, shorty, saddle and saddle block packs as well as a 1/12th 1S pack.

DE Speedline wheel line gets additional colours

DE Racing release four new colours to their entire Speedline series of wheels. Always looking to give drivers options for vehicle customisation, DE Racing have brought to life some striking new colours that include fluorescent green, orange, hot pink, and bright red. The Speedline wheels are available for a wide range of 1/10th buggies and trucks as well as 1/8th buggies.

Novarossi Live Range nitro engines

Novarossi first teased us last December and now the Italian engine manufacturer finally released more detailed information on the Live Range engine series. Available soon are several .21 off-road, on-road and rally game engines as well as .12 on-road touring engines. The line will see the Bloody .21 4-port and Loco .21 3-port engine with the latter being available as standard, recoil and rotostart variant making it the ideal replacement engine for RTR buggies and trucks. Also new is the Brave .21 5-port on-road, the Hardito .21 7-port rally came as well as the Sturm .12 touring engine – the latter comes as standard and rotostart variant. All engines feature a newly designed crankshafts with a larger bore intake to increase the mixture flow and all of them should become available very soon.

Spec-R XB4 aluminium wing mount & servo brackets

Spec-R soon have two new aluminium option parts for Xray’s XB4 4WD buggy available in the form of an aluminium wing mount and servo brackets. Starting with the wing mount, the part is CNC-machined from 7075 aluminium, comes black anodised and laser-etched with Spec-R logos. A carbon fibre mounting plate allows to place the wing in a forward and rearward position without the need to drill a second set of holes, while the plate also acts as a support plate prolonging the life of the high stressed plastic part. Also new are the 7075 aluminium servo mounting brackets. They come with a black anodising and allow for a more precise and durable servo mounting while also looking the part. The brackets come as pair and are a direct replacement for the stock plastic mounts.

Xray XB8 1/8th off-road buggy announced

Xray dig out the well-known XB8 name and introduce the all-new XB8 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. Having its unofficial debut in prototype stages at the 2013 EFRA European Championships where the buggy finished 2nd and 3rd on the podium in the hands of Martin Bayer and Reno Savoya, Xray now officially release what they describe as a totally new platform. The buggy builds on a 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that features Xray’s Multi-Flex technology to adapt the vehicle to a wide range of track conditions. The drivetrain is equipped with CVD driveshafts throughout, it sports three differentials with hardened lightweight outdrives and included in the kit is also a 7075-T6 aluminium clutch with enclosed clutch bell.
