Vision Racing SCTE 2.0 carbon fibre options

Vision Racing SCTE 2.0 carbon fibre options

Vision Racing introduce three new option parts for TLR’s Ten-SCTE 2.0 4WD short course truck in the form of a centre diff brace and two different length steering drag links. All parts are cut from 2.5mm quasi-isotropic carbon fibre and while the diff brace makes for a stiffer and more rigid centre of the chassis the steering links are used to adjust the Ackermann angle of the front tyres in order to fine-tune steering characteristics.

Avid B44.2 aluminium centre cap

Avid B44.2 aluminium center cap

Avid’s new B44.2 aluminium centre cap is a fresh take on the design which keeps your chassis secure and makes the car easier to work on. The design eliminates 4 screws for the original cap and instead directly links the front and rear upper decks with taper mounts that key into the upper decks. The added benefit of this design is that maintenance is simplified, when you only remove 4 screws and the entire upper deck assembly is loose for easy slipper clutch removal.

Tekno RC NB48 1/8th nitro buggy

Tekno RC NB48 1/8th nitro buggy

Tekno RC have introduced the NB48, a completely new 1/8th nitro buggy built on their EB48 and SCT410 platform. The chassis has ideal weight distribution side-to-side due to creating an all new mid-offset rear bulkhead and ring gear which moves the engine closer to the centre without overloading the right side. It also minimizes drive angles and wear on the center dog bones so the drivetrain is as free as can be without sacrificing chassis layout and weight balance on the very narrow 4mm 7075 CNC hard anodized aluminum chassis. The engine can be mounted in two positions, a front position and an 18mm offset rear position. Under most conditions the motor forward produces the fastest cornering and subsequent lap times while in very bumpy or very loose conditions testing shows the rear engine position can be easier to drive.

JConcepts TLR22 & 22T / 22SCT front shock towers

JConcepts have released new 4mm carbon fibre front shock towers for the TLR 22 and 22T / 22SCT. The design team has pin-pointed the exact geometry locations of the front shock tower and designed a durable and lightweight option part that is a direct bolt-on for the front-end of the popular TLR vehicles. The shock tower is 4mm in thickness and features all the stock mounting geometry in a more compact package. Reinforcement ribs have been added where needed for additional strength and mounting hardware has been included for a secure hassle free attachment. Additionally, the replacement front truck tower includes a 2.5mm locknut for body mount attachment.

JConcepts Nissan Titan SC body

JConcepts Nissan Titan SC body

JConcepts have introduced the Nissan Titan to their lineup of championship winning Short Course bodies. The exterior of the Titan is built to cater to racer demands with aggressive, high-impact headlight and grille treatment has an unmistakable straight-on look. Included in the front hood design are reverse louvers which are built-in to allow 2 air-escape passages and the famous Nissan front fender treatment has an additional raised section which allows plenty of front tire clearance under load and also functions as an additional air escape feature. The high-performance body has a 1:1 inspired extra-cab with black-out decal to give that elusive side view. A low-profile roof line helps maintain a low center of gravity allowing the truck to transition the turns like a JConcepts heritage design while the bed of the truck is packed with all the Hi-Flow features that have become synonymous in the industry. 2 upper easy to trim Hi-Flow cut-outs chiseled between the built-in and extremely durable number plates combine with the dual channeled air-out spoiler at the base, to finish off a polished air release package.

Exotek DEX410 rear hubs & gearbox holders

Exotek DEX410 rear hubs & gearbox holders

Exotek have produced a number of new option parts for the Durango DEX410 buggy. First up are heavy duty 7075 alloy rear hubs with vertical ball stud mounting. Durable but machined to be lightweight, the vertical ball stud mounting allows for easy roll center adjustments by adding shims. The included 2mm spacers are designed to match the stock geometry of the plastic hubs for easy set up reference. These hubs have the stock 0 degree geometry. Next up is a heavy duty rear gearbox holder with a new design which has slotted screw openings for easier installation or removal compared to the difficult stock unit. Simply leave the 2 holding screws half way screwed into the bulkheads and then slide the holder on or off and then tighten the screws. Finally there is a heavy duty front gearbox holder with both gearbox holders are made from 7075 alloy for greater durability.

Avid RC TLR22 Triad aluminium topshaft

Avid RC TLR22 Triad aluminium topshaft

Avid RC’s new Triad aluminium topshaft is an upgrade for the TLR 22, 22T and 22 SCT to eliminate the special ‘mini’ kit slipper nut and use a standard 5.5 mm hex driver to set the slipper clutch. Born partly for necessity, partly for convenience, racers will appreciate this upgrade as they can go back to using a standard slipper nut. Many Triad customers had issues with TLR topshafts which fluctuated in length and did not allow for proper spring tension on the slipper clutch, this shaft aims to solve that.
