JConcepts B4.1, T4.1 and SC10 front axle

One of the best upgrades you can make to the Team Associated line of vehicles is a conversion to 12mm hex wheels. JConcepts has been on top of this conversion since its introduction with hex adapters and Mono wheels. A critical point of the conversion revolves around the front axle and surrounding geometry. Within the steering block the space is very tight and especially between the 2 front bearings where the front axles rests between the bearing bores in 1 plane and the king pin in the perpendicular plane. The JConcepts front axle design is based around high-quality steel construction, an outer bearing crush step and an inner 4-40 lock nut for security. The design eliminates c-clips, screws and other items which are hard to detect of issues which limit performance. The free spinning design includes axles, 4-40 mini lock-nuts, thin axle shims, decal and assembly instructions. Available for B4.1 (above), T4.1 and SC10.

FTW 8ight wing spacer kits

FTW Racing Components has added to its lineup of carbon fibre upgrades with the release of its wing spacer kits for the Team Losi 8ight series of 1:8 off-road cars. Testing has shown performance gains can be realized by fine tuning the orientation of the wing. FTW’s mount spacer kit creates additional wing tuning options through the use of pairs of spacers which can be placed between the rear shock tower and wing mount. The kit include two pairs of 4mm thick carbon fibre spacers, allowing the wing mount to be moved 4mm or 8mm away from the rear shock tower. Longer screws are supplied with the kit to facilitate proper fastening of the wing mount.

Mugen MBX7 1/8 Nitro Offroad buggy

Mugen Seiki have announced the release of the MBX7 1/8 Nitro Offroad buggy. The Mugen design team had a goal to increase corner speed, increase traction, low the center of gravity and to lighten up the whole drive train and the end result is the MBX7. Mugen concentrated on creating a buggy that would carry natural corner speed with newly designed front upper/lower suspension, The rear suspension was designed to create more traction and smooth action through bumps, jumps and whatever else the buggy attacks with shorter rear suspension arms, fully adjustable anti-squat and toe in bushings. New front shocks and shock springs control the suspension on the front of the buggy while newly designed shock angles keep the rear suspension hooked up to the surface.

Core RC progressive big bore springs

Core RC have released new progressive big bore springs for 1/10th Off Road. These high quality precision made springs allow the car to float over bumps but not roll too much during cornering. The consistent wire diameter means that the characteristics of each spring in the line-up is similar, giving a consistent performance across the range. The spring stiffness increment between springs is very small, allowing fine adjustment of the suspension. Also to enable the big bore springs to be used on small bore shocks they have released 2 optional converters for the top of the spring, enabling better seating of the spring. The bottom of the spring fits regular small bore shock bottoms.
