Ninja JX21B02 off-road racing engine

Mugen USA got in touch to tell us about the new Ninja JX21B02 .21 off-road buggy and truggy nitro racing engine. The company teamed up with O.S. Engine to create a 3-port long stroke engine with a new piston/sleeve design. The long stroke creates a stronger more linear power band from low end top fuel high end speed while the redesigned crankcase and crankshaft make for better performance and higher fuel economy. The light weight cooling head is 10 fins high but it sits 8mm lower than the previous Ninja engine for a low centre of gravity.

Much-More Racing Kyosho EP buggy shock cartridge tool

Much-More Racing release the shock cartridge tool for Kyosho ZX-5 and RB-5 1/10 scale EP buggies. Made to properly fasten the lower cartridge cap on standard and big bore shocks the tool also helps to unscrew rotted caps after a long time of use. Also available for TF-5 touring car shock absorbers.

Having brought you the exclusive first photos of the new Blockade tire from Pro-Line, the California based company have officially announced the new ROAR National title winning tire. The tread design features large lugs for class leading tread life, perfectly balanced tread spacing for maximum forward bite and uniquely blended side tread that reduces the edginess found in other race tires. This tire will give you qualifying speed with tread life capable of handling hour long A-mains.

Lee Martin begins new venture LMR

Double European Champion and winner of the World’s warmup race Lee Martin has announced that he has begun a new venture called LMR. The factory Tamiya driver aiming to introduce new and exciting products into the world of RC, innovative ideas, useful new solutions and advice. With products expected to be announced any day now, Lee had this to say, “For years I have had many ideas on how I can improve my performance both on and off the track. I am hoping that once these products have materialised it also can help to do the same for you.”

Viper R/C have introduced their new VSE-B and VSE-T fully sensored motors for your 1/8 buggy and truggy. Months of rigorous on track and racing development have produced a 1/8 power plant ready to take your vehicle to a new level of performance, feel, and reliability. The VSE features a two pole sensored design to give you the smoothest and most drivable power band available. A CNC machined 6061 aluminum ribbed can provides optimum cooling performance while the integrated temperature sensor provides thermal protection to protect your equipment. High grade oversized ball bearings keep your system running smooth after hours of competition. The VSE-T features a 5mm longer can and rotor than its VSE-B buggy counterpart for the additional torque required by the big trucks. Multiple KV options between 1300-2450kv offer tuning options for varying track sizes and conditions.

S-Workz BB80 offroad starter box

S-Workz have released their new BB80 offroad starter box. Featuring a strong, lightweight construction it can be powered by 1-4pc 6-cell 7.2v batteries or a 12V 7A lead acid pack. The starter wheel is driven a single high torque 775 motor, which is run through a drive reduction gearbox, and the box itself is supplied with easily adjustable mounting brackets to allow you to align a wide range of buggies and truggies.

Durango DNX408 option parts

Team Durango have released several new option parts for their DNX408 nitro off-road buggy. First up is a carbon fibre radio tray. Woven from high-quality carbon fibre, this hop-up part is 43% lighter than the standard kit item. It is also a lot stiffer, offering you the most precise servo operation. It allows less heat flow-through from the chassis allowing greater heat dissipation through the bottom of the chassis plate. Next up we have an aluminium throttle arm to replace the stock plastic item. This high-strength aluminium throttle arm allows you to run a strong carb-return spring on your engine. Weighing in at only 4.3 grams, it also gives you ultra-precise throttle operation. Finally, for a bit of rear wing bling, there is these gold-anodised aluminium wing buttons. Anodised in Team Durango gold, they are high strength and weigh just 1.0 gram each.
