Mugen MBX-6 longer chassis & new 1.5mm springs

Mugen have released this new optional chassis plate for the MBX-6 as used at the World Championships in Pattaya last November. The new longer chassis helps improve the stability of the car on bumpy tracks. As it is longer it requires the new 5mm longer centre rear drive shaft. Mugen have also released new shock springs for the MBX-6 and 6T. A completely new line of springs, they use a thinner 1.5mm thick wire compared to the 1.6mm thick version used before. The colour is silver for all and the lengths remain the same, with 75mm fronts and 86mm rears. The new springs are available in a range of different stiffnesses and offer improved traction, steering and jumping over the previous versions.

Arrowmax have introduced this new brake disc for the Mugen MBX-6. CNC machined from high quality steel, the specially designed holes and their positions have offer all important cooling and lightweight, so it wont over heat during use.

Castle Creations Mamba XL ESC & Baja conversion

It’s time for 1/5th scale buggies, trucks and on road cars to experience the incredible torque and speed of Castle electric drive. The new Mamba XL is the only controller on the market able to handle the loads required to power these surprisingly heavy vehicles to insane speeds. We can prove it too, as the Mamba XL features all of the standard Mamba series programming features plus a first for the RC car market, data logging. Use the data from the controller to measure parameters such as your battery volts, battery ripple voltage, amp draw, motor rpm, and controller temperature. This is a great way to make sure that the rest of your setup is performing within its limits. Sweep Racing Closed Cell 1:8 truggy inserts

Sweep Racing have released their new Closed Cell 1:8 truggy inserts. Based on the original industry standard closed cell foam insert, the new grooved insert is designed to take advantage of the radial ribs inside the carcass of the Exagon tires to ensure no air gaps and perfect balance. The inserts are now available with their line of truggy tires as well as in their line of pre glued truggy tires/wheels.

Vega Elite 2WD race conversions

Just released, the new series of Vega Elite 2WD race conversions for most major top-end race buggies, including the pictured Kyosho Ultima RB5 SP2. Featuring a CNC machined aerospace 7075 alloy tub chassis & gearbox, motor plate heat sink, rear shock tower, bodyshell and more, this new conversion changes the weight distribution of the car, allowing it to jump more level & massively helps in-air control and powered landings. Testing has shown the conversion gives a new more positive feel to the car, allowing for a more aggressive driving style. Flatter jumps, quicker landings and better cornering is bringing noticeably faster and consistent lap times.

Pro-Line T4.1 Bulldog shell & 1/10 Closed cell inserts

Pro-Line have brought the successful BullDog to the 1/10th scale truck class with this version for the Associated T4.1. The advanced cab forward design generates unmatched off-power steering, while the low profile rear deck feeds the wing with clean air flow. Also for the 1/10th truck class Pro-Line have introduced their closed cell insert for the rear as well as a front version for 1/10th 4wd buggies, which offers a firmer and longer lasting insert set-up. The closed cell inserts are also water safe and reusable so they can also save you money.

Xceed ZX offroad engines

Xceed have introduced their own line of high performance offroad engines that are made in Italy by Picco. If they look familiar it’s because they were previously sold under the Mega brand. Featuring the highest level of manufacturing quality, Swiss made bearings, superb metals and for offroad the all important low fuel consumption combined with very smooth performance. The ZX-21 5P-DS4 is a 5 port turbo engine with 8mm carburetor, tall and lightweight cooling head with finned combustion chamber. The 5P-DS4 EM Offroad engine is again a 5 port turbo engine with 8mm carburetor, but is Eduardo Modified with selected ABC-set and aligned conrod, tear-drop work on the sleeve and a light crankshaft with silicone. Finally the ZX-21 3P- DS4 is a 3 port engine with 8mm carburetor, tall cooling head and super low fuel consumption. All engines can be purchased separately or as a Powerpack with polished inline tuned pipe-system.
