This new shell has been dressed with a newly designed cab which incorporates a noticeably missing cab scoop, while the styling presents a smooth yet detailed design, incorporating many of the features from the original BJ4 Worlds Edition and B44 Hi-Flow body. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and durable design are just some of the features that make up the new Illuzion D44 Scoopless body. New from Elements for 2008 is the Elements Trekker Rally Cross tyre, developed by top UK and EU racers with the goal of creating massive forwards traction, awesome side bite and more acceleration. To complete these objectives the tread design has been optimized with the triangular central section being able to cut into the surface for unparalleled forwards traction, while the outer edge of the tyre has also been worked on to give excellent cornering characteristics by stiffening up the side wall under load with the bars. The final stage was to reduce the overall diameter of the tyre to reduce weight and gain more acceleration. The compound was then optimized for all conditions which resulted in the all round S-Medium compound. This tyre proved to work on every surface from astro to clay to grass in every condition possible. Not happy with just an awesome all round tyre the developing racers wanted something a little softer for that little edge when they need it, we found the R-Soft compound! This compound gives excellent traction in all conditions. The Elements Trekker tyres come packaged in pairs with the proven Edit Black Soft Inserts.

New from Xray, for the XT8 truggy, are these hard coated lightweight aluminium wheel axles with +5mm offset. Sold in a pair, and suitable for both the front and rear of the car, using these wheel axles will increase the overall track width by 10mm making the car more stable and easier to drive. Suggested for use with 0-offset wheels only.

HongNor have announced the release of a number of new optional parts for their X2 CRT 1/8th scale truggy chassis. First up is this front and rear set of CNC machined 7075 T6 center braces that helps stiffen up the whole chassis, while for extra performance there is a set of lightweight CVDs, as well as front and rear universal shafts. Less weight mean better acceleration and more revolutions, as well as lowering the overall weight of the car, which is always good.

Japanese off road specialist Team Azarashi have released the first pictures of their prototype Vaykal body shell, suitable for the 2wd X-Factory X-6. Featuring some very aggressive styling, the new shell is still being finalised and no fixed date has been given for its release.

More news from Pro-Line, who have also released some updates to their buggy and truggy line of tires. For the buggy, the company’s competitive Hole Shot is now available in soft XTR compound, in addition to the previously released M2 and M3 compounds. For truggys, they get 3 new additions to the LPR, Low Profile Race, range of tires with the addition of the Hole Shot, Bow-Tie and Crime fighter, all of which are available in soft XTR, super-soft M2, and ultra-soft M3 compounds, as well as coming as pre-mounts with the M2 and M3 compounds.
