LRP VTEC Kamikaze Buggy tires

After a long testing and development period, LRP have announced the release of their all new VTEC Kamikaze tire line. Specially developed for off road racing, the Kamikaze sets new benchmarks in terms of life, wear and grip in today’s off road racing. The LRP R&D team, in close cooperation with their team drivers, have developed a special compound that provides the highest grip and longest lifespan for any racing application and will be offered in a soft compound for highest performance during qualifying, as well as a medium compound for finals. Also available as pre-mounts, that use LRP’s special gluing system to provide the highest durability, they come with a special moulded insert which reduces tire wear to a minimum. In addition, the all new Kamikaze tire features revolutionary venting holes to aid performance through optimum air circulation, avoiding pressure in the tire ensuring the insert works at even the highest rpm. To easily distinguish between the different compounds the hardness of the tire is embedded in the side wall.

Micro RC B44 & BJ4 body and wing

Russian company Micro RC (MRC) have announced the release of another new prototype body shell and wing, this time for the Team Associated B44 and JConcepts BJ4 electric buggy. Designed to allow brushless speed controllers with cooling fans to comfortably fit under, the body’s front window and rear V-wing help the car remain stable on long jumps. Made from ultra thin and lightweight 0.5mm thick lexan, more details on the release date when we know more.

HoBao Hyper 28 Engine

Hobao Racing have released a new engine into their line up with the introduction of the Hyper 28. Designed primarily for the rigours of 1/8th truggy & trucks, this new engine is an upgrade on the Macstar 28 and features a new revised 3-port piston and liner for improved low end torque, something that most drivers desire when powering heavier and larger vehicles. In addition there is a new larger heat sink head, head button, crankcase and shaft. Available with or without pull start the Hyper 28 is a cost effective choice for your monster truck or truggy.

Xray XB808 Alu Steering Blocks

Xray have announced the release of these new steering blocks for the XB808, which have been CNC-machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, and then hard coated for extra durability and long life. Ultra-strong construction provides very long life and durability in even the most extreme racing conditions. Smart Xray engineering includes use of composite bushings to secure ball-bearings in both sides of the steering block, allowing perfect fitting and smooth operation to ultimately impart much higher lifetime compared to bearings installed directly into aluminium steering blocks.

Xray XB808 Clutch Bells

Xray have released a new range of clutch bells for the XB808, manufactured on a precision manual gear machine from Hudy gear steel, a material specially formulated and developed for use in gears. Heat treated for highest strength, minimal wear and extra-long lifespan, the XB808 clutch bell features unique oversized ball-bearings designed and engineered by Xray. Replacing the standard 5×10 bearings with 1.3mm balls, the oversized 808 clutch bearings are 5×12 with 2.0mm balls and extra-thick bearing walls. This translates to higher load-carrying capabilities which will increase the life of the bearings and reduce the risk of clutch bearing failure during long final runs. The bearings come with special high-temperature resistant grease to ensure proper lubrication during high-revving engine operations and long runs. Available in sizes of 15T, 16T, 17T and 18T.

RB Concept ST28 RotoStart Engine

RB Concept in France have released the new ST, a .28 big block mill using the same design as their RT line-up. The engine features an ABC 3 port liner and comes with the strong, resilient MSC reinforced crankcase. Also a standard feature included is a roto-start system for ease of operation. The adjustable position of the starting nuts allows for the engine to be mounted in practically all chassis’.

JConcepts Illuzion Xray 808 body

New for the Xray XB808, JConcepts have released the Illuzion – Scoopless body, whose styling presents a smooth yet detailed design while incorporating many of the features from the original Scoopless body for the RC10B4. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and durable design are just some of the features that make the new Illuzion Xray 808 body stand out from the rest. Made from clear heavy-duty thickness polycarbonate, it comes supplied with protective film, window masks and detailed Illuzion decal sheet.

Losi Tuned Flex 8ight-T Chassis

Losi have released this Tuned Flex Technology Chassis for the popular 8ight-T truggy, having been previously available for the 8ight buggy. It has been milled at exact points to give more flex to the chassis while not sacrificing chassis flex at the gear mesh, which greatly improved overall traction and stability on all track surfaces and has been vigorously tested worldwide by Losi drivers Adam Drake, Mike Truhe and Yannick Aigoin. This lighter chassis will reduce the vehicle’s overall weight to provide increased acceleration and better handling.
