X-Factory X5 Dual Pulley Upgrade Kit

Inspired by team drivers, this great new kit installs a second, larger idler pulley on your X-Factory X-5 Squared to reduce belt skip while maintaining complete driveline freedom. Your Squared idler bar is pre-drilled and tapped with holes for the Upgrade system, so installation is easy. The larger pulley mounts closer to the drive gear, increasing belt wrap and that reduces skip both on acceleration and braking. The normal idler is moved further back and slightly down on the idler bar, and the bar installs in the X-5 Squared just as it always did. This pulley arrangement allows the belt angles to be less than with just one, so driveline freedom is maintained.

Tamiya TRF501X body shell V2

As seen on the team cars at the World Championships in Japan, Tamiya have released the 2nd version of the TRF501X body shell. Featuring more space around the electronics and motor, to aid cooling and allow more possible electronics layout options, this body was spotted on the Tamiya stand at the recent Tokyo Hobby show in Japan.

JConcepts Illuzion B44 “Hi-Flow” body

JConcepts have released the Illuzion B44 “Hi-flow” body which has been designed specifically for the Team Associated B44 4wd buggy. Hi-Flow styling presents a flowing design while incorporating many radical scoop outlets for additional air flow for speed control and motor cooling. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and upper scoop combined with the durable flowing design of the side pod scoops are just some of the features that make the new Illuzion “Hi-flow” body stand apart from the rest. Made from heavy-duty thickness polycarbonate with protective film, the body is supplied with two 6” rear V-wings as well as window masks and detailed Illuzion decal sheet.

Xray XB8 Active Differential

Xray have released their Active Differential, which is a high-performance, adjustable front gear differential for XB8 buggies that vastly improved the buggy’s speed and handling characteristics. The special design of the internal components, using different angled segments, allows the diff gears to engage on-power to increase the forward traction and stability to the buggy, making it faster and easier to drive. While the Xray Active Differential is a performance option for serious racers who want to gain an edge on superior speed and handling, it is also of great benefit to any level of driver that wants to a more predictable and easy-to-drive car in any racing conditions.

Team Titan Drive Shaft Replacement Tool

More new stuff from Team Titan with the release of their new drive shaft replacement tool. Designed for use with most 1/8 and 1/10 on and off road drive shafts with a 3mm pin, this tool offers a fast and easy way to replace worn drive shaft pins with just this tool and a hammer. Although not included with the tool, Team Titan also sell 3 different versions of 3mm pin – 10.8mm for 1/10th On-Road, 11.8mm for 1/8th On-Road and 13.8mm for 1/8th Off-Road.

Ultimate Racing Tire Balancer

Ultimate Racing have released details about their new tire balancer, which works with the wheels of buggies, rally game cars and truggies. After many tests and exchange of opinions with their team drivers, UR came to the conclusion that unbalanced wheels produce unnecessary vibrations to the shock absorber, affecting both traction and stability of the cars while jumping. To take care of this problem they have developed this system to balance wheel weight which works by helping to find the heaviest part of the wheel, and in turn allowing you to balance it through the use of the UR balancing paste which can be applied to the opposite side of the rim.

Machines Racing Products CEN options

Machines Racing Products have released a number of new hop-up option parts for the CEN Racing Matrix and TR, available exclusively at Machine’s R/C Hobbies. Designed by CEN factory team driver, Gene ‘the machine’ Hickerson the new products inlcude hardened tool steel cross pins, for the Matrix, TR Arena, and GST 7.7 differentials and CNC 7075 blue anodized front upper turnbuckles for the Matrix TR Arena and Matrix Buggy. Also new for the Matrix & TR Arena is a CNC 7075 blue anodized ackerman steering plate and a CNC 7075 blue anodized front suspension holder plate.
