Factory Team Aluminium RC8 parts

Associated have released 2 new aluminium parts for their popular RC8 1/8th scale buggy. First up is the Factory Team aluminium top plate which is designed for maximum stiffness and strength with minimal weight, while the new Factory Team aluminium steering rack increases crash resistance and improves precision in the steering system. Both parts have been CNC machined, hard-anodised and are scratch resistant and will be available in February.

3 Racing Losi Micro-T Extended version

3 Racing are now offer a graphite conversion kit to extend the Team Losi Micro-T for Micro-Desert Truck use. The new extended version is 6 inches long and the conversion is achieved using a new upper deck and main chassis made from graphite, along with a plastic material upper radio tray and specifically designed bulkhead.

Edit RC have released a complete set of high quality bearings for the Hot Bodies Cyclone D4 4wd buggy. ABEC 3 (ISO Class 6) rated, these bearings are of a higher precision than most manufacturer’s standard bearings with tighter tolerances for fit, which means less slippage in the bearing and so more speed & longer life. These bearings are direct replacements for the Cyclone D4 standard kit bearings.

Ultimate Racing Light BS Wheel Nuts

Ultimate Racing have released new lightweight, machined 7075-T6 Swiss aluminium, covered wheel nuts. Incorporating a special block system that uses a silicone O-ring to prevent the nuts coming loose from the wheel hub, they sport a new covered design meaning the wheel hub is always protected against dirt and collision damage. Available in blue, purple, black and gold with different threads for different cars, the face of the hubcaps features the Ultimate Racing logo.

After numerous request to make an after market shell for the HPI Baja 5b, Pro-Line have introduced the Desert Rat. Styled after their successful line of Desert Rat truck bodies, the Baja 5b captures the essence of what Desert Racing is all about. The highlight of the body are the pronounced front windshield area, while it’s taller height reduces the amount of dirt and rocks that can hit the filter and/or get lodged inside the chassis.

Atomic Carbon B44 option parts

Following on from the brief piece from oOple about the Atomic Carbon S2 in which we mentioned that a new 4wd buggy was spotted, comes the first teaser pictures of that car which has turned out to be an Associated B44 with new carbon fibre option parts from Atomic Carbon. Most notable is the beautiful moulded, and machined, carbon fibre tub chassis which sports a different battery layout and radio gear configuration than the original car and also that it no longer uses an upper chassis brace, probably due to the stiffness of the tub.
