Japanese firm Team AJ have released 2 new products, the first is this lightweight alumnium suspension arm nut wrench which is used with the Mugen MBX5R/T when trying to get at the cars front differential. This wrench is for the 4 millimeter nylon locknut that holds the front suspension pin in place and is designed in such a way that its easy to get at the nut. The other product from Team AJ is a set of 10 high quality rubber sealed ball bearings which are designed for use in gas buggies.

CRC Gen-X and Losi 8ight parts

Calandra Racing Concepts in the US have released a number of new parts for their own line of carpet racers as well as something for off road buggies. First up the release of a carbon fiber cross brace for the Gen-X (above) which mounts to the CRC lower arms, keeping the front end strong, straight and true even with the heaviest impacts. The brace also acts as a mount for CRC’s new “Long-Arm” option, coming soon for the Pro Strut front end. Also new are a number of super strong and light titanium parts such as upper pivot balls for the Pro Strut front end, front end screws and tie rods, also for the Pro Strut front end. Finally, for the Losi 8ight and 8ight T, CRC have made some “No-Pop” steering balls that capture the link, keeping the tie rod attached to the ball even in the event of a hard impact.

Jammin have introduced the new JP-4 tuned pipe, designed specifically for 1/8 scale off-road racing to improve mid-range to top-end speed without sacrificing bottom-end punch. Like the rest of the JP pipes, the JP-4 features a smash-proof billet stinger and reliable spring coupler design, and is IFMAR legal meaning you can race it at sanctioned events. Available in two different coatings; hard-anodized or nickel plated chrome, the nickel plated finish is practically impervious to stains while both versions include 2 coupler grommets, springs, set screw and a spring-loaded pipe hanger.

JP Racing have recently announced the release of their latest 1/8th buggy / truggy motor, the Eagle 21 B-7T. Developed to give you great performance, the new sleeve system and new exhaust port design ensures the best compromise between power and fuel consumption, something that Eagle engines are renowned for with many going more than 8 minutes on 1 tank. This engine has been assembled with high speed bearings with the front bearing featuring 2 rubber shields (in and out) protecting the engine against hard dust or water conditions and also a special closed main bearing. Eagle engines come in two versions, normal glow plug or turbo glow plug.

Italian after market parts maker Fioroni has announced the release of two new 3.5cc buggy engines. Sold under the Option Power brand, these new motors look to be made by Picco, feature 3 port liners, ABC construction and come included with a previously released optional buggy cooling head as standard. The 2 versions differ in that the blue headed version bolts straight into a competition buggy and would utilize a starter box while the black headed version comes complete with a pull start attachment. Available now.

Hudy have announced the release of these first purpose designed and manufactured droop gauge support blocks for 1/8 Off-road. As with all droop support blocks their use is dead simple, simply remove the tires from your buggy and using a flat surface put the car chassis on the support blocks, placing the front support block below the servo saver and the rear support block below the rear suspension mounting. Then using a chassis droop gauge with elevated scales, measure the droop under the wheel axle hex, using the downstop screws to alter the suspension droop on each side of the car.

Korean R/C parts maker Much More have released a new range of buggy stands in a number of colours. Similar to their current line up of touring car stands these new versions are taller to allow the necessary clearance of the longer reaching suspension arms of electric buggies. Available in 3 colours – purple, blue and black, the stand is made from aluminum and sports the Much More logo on the side and top while the top surface features an anti slip material.
