R1 Wurks CAT PB Front CF Shock Tower -2mm

Californian based R1 Wurks has released this -2mm front carbon fibre Shock Tower for the Schumacher CAT PB 1:10 4WD Buggy.  The lowered upper shock mounting position effectively reduces front suspension up-travel, improving chassis stability and cornering performance when using smaller-diameter tires commonly run on high-grip carpet and turf tracks.  Manufactured from high-quality carbon fibre and precision-machined to ensure rigidity and consistent suspension feedback.  The tower is available in two premium finishes – Matte Forged, and Gloss 3K Plain Weave.

Hobbywing XeRun XR10 Pro Legacy

New from World Champion electronics manufacturer Hobbywing comes the XeRun XR10 Pro Legacy ESC.  Suitable for 1:10 Onroad and Offroad racing across both Modified and Stock classes, it is powered by a 32-bit M4 processor which delivers lightning-fast response, and handles more data with precision.  Weighing 94.2 grams, including wires & connectors, key functions of the ESC include Hobbywing’s patented Softening Function as well as Smart Fan technology that runs the fan only when needed.  This temperature controlled fan circuit prolongs fan life and improves overall performance.  Measuring 37.7 X 37.0 X 33.2mm, the Legacy now includes built-in maximum output current up to 10A switch-mode BEC.  It also gets Reverse Polarity Protection and an external OTA makes parameter tuning and firmware upgrades more convenient.  Hobbywing’s Link mobile app allows access real-time data monitoring – Monitor throttle, voltage, temperature, RPM and other data, while the OTA’s built-in memory records everything for detailed post-race analysis to fine-tune performance like never before.

JConcepts RC10B7 Alu Battery Hold and Swing Set

New from JConcepts comes this swing operated battery retainer that is designed for simplicity, adjustability, and quick battery changes.  Available in blue and black anodised colours options, the aluminium rails bolt to the standard RC10B7 platform chassis side guards and functions like the stock plastic components.  The aluminium swings include hardware for installation and spacers for height adjustment depending on which battery type is used in the vehicle.  When using a tall battery pack, it is necessary to install the tall stand-offs under the swing part to raise the height of the entire assembly.  For the low-profile battery pack, install the short stand-offs to outfit the configuration to adapt to the required height.  Two different length BHCS screws are included and should be used in conjunction with the corresponding stand-off.  It is also necessary to use the stock O-rings from the kit parts to provide the cushion and vibration resistance.

JConcepts Protector RC10 1989 Stealth buggy body

New from JConcepts comes the Protector body for the RC10 1989 Stealth buggy from Team Associated. Debuted at the 2025 Team Associated Vintage Championship in Las Vegas last weekend and a hit in the hands of Ryan Maifield, the new body shares some styling cues from the original days of the RC10 and one of the most popular kit bodies of all-time. This is a CAD design body shell but has its roots set in the 1980’s with rear biased cab, large rear transmission over-hanging section, and large rear windows. The body fits around the 1989 Stealth chassis with careful considerations to the angles, height, and transitions. One of the most retro bodies in the JConcepts fleet, the Protector has very simple side-pods and efficiently covers the chassis. Multiple side windows, including the vintage back window, stand out as class leading details. The front nose piece of the body is feathered on the sides and chamfered to fit between the shock tower and slides just inside and over the top deck. A small, flared section near the front provides clearance around the steering bell cranks and servo link. The rear overhang of the body is what makes a vintage buggy stand out vs later model vehicles. The rise over the rear shock tower has tower protection and an outlining detail around the shocks. Included in each package is a 5.5” wing that is designed to sit flat on the geometry of the body and sits down and hugs the back of the body. A simple, yet detailed wing design provides plenty of “sling” clearance for dirt and debris from the rear tires. A full selection of gurney options on the rear of the wing gives racers a selection of heights to trim to, depending on the level of traction. The wing side-dams are finished off with a little inspiration from today with the leading edge angled and already in attack mode.
