MRO Racing Buggy Development Update

MRO Racing, the company behind the radical ultra low profile design Inspire4 1:10 4WD buggy project, has given an update on the project unveil it will test its latest iteration of the project.  With well respected car designer Gerd Strenge joining the project earlier this year, in its update MRO Racing together with some body on photos of the buggy posted, ”Hello everyone, After not hearing from us for so long, it’s time for an update.  We’ve spent several months thinking about how we could change a few things on the car and whether the changes would deliver what we hope for.  Today is the day.  Today we’re going to test the car on a track in Germany and see how it all works.  We hope for the best.  Our thoughts were that we could save even more weight, bring the weight even more into the centre and make the car a little stiffer. So we thought about how to do this and put it into practice.  We will report back after the test.  We are just as excited as you are.’

T-Works MP11 Steel A, C & D Mounts

Aftermarket parts producer T-Works  has released these Steel A, C, and D Mounts for the Kyosho MP11 1:8 Buggy.  Machined from high-quality steel, it boasts deformation resistance and wear durability, with each mounts weight helping enhance vehicle handling stability as it can be used as a counterweight to flexibly adjust the front-rear weight distribution ratio.   Each mount weighs almost 3 times that of T-Works T7075 aluminium version with the Steel A Mount weighing in at 22.4 grams, the C Mount 20.6 grams, and the D Mount 20.3 grans.

Team Associated RC10B84 Classic Kit

Team Associated is rounding out 2025 with another ‘Classic’ kit release, this time with a Classic take on the their latest RC10B84 1:10 4WD Buggy.  With the B84 platform released in June of this year, it quickly added to the US manufacturer’s IFMAR World Champion tally when Marcus Kaerup took the 1:10 4WD World Championship win in Sydney, Australia, in October.  Releasing the ‘Classis’, a low run collector’s piece, the buggy get’s RC10 Classic gold finish aluminium parts and chassis, as well as all white premium composite plastics.  Accepting pre-orders, the RC10B84 Classic is available in as a standard or Dirt kit and is due to ship late December.

Hotrace V2 Carpet 1:10 Offroad Rear Tyre

Italian tyre manufacturer Hotrace has released an updated version of the its 1:10 Offroad Carpet tyre it brought to market at the beginning of 2025.  The new V2 rear has the same carcass as the V1, but with an updated tread design that uses smaller, directional pin for improved performance especially on high grip track conditions.  The Carpet V2 rear is available in soft, soft/medium, and medium compounds.

Hudy 101 1:10 Offroad Carpet Tyres

Continuing to expand its range of products but best known for its tools, Hudy has unveiled a range of 1:10 Offroad Carpet Tyres known as 101.  The Slovakian brand say the tyres are designed for modern carpet tracks and feature an optimised carcass & contact patch for consistent performance.  Available as separate tyres or race-ready pre-glued versions the 101 range offer stable handling under high cornering loads with controlled sidewall flex reducing traction roll.  With dedicated front & rear designs for optimal balance, they have balanced forward & side traction for strong acceleration with a special compound ensuring long-lasting traction.  To compliment the 101 tyres Hudy also offer their own Carpet Foam inserts & Hudy wheels.

Klinik RC Scrub K8 1:8 Buggy Body

US company Klinik RC has released a new 1:8 Buggy Body with their Scrub K8 designed with the objective of a creating a high downforce stable body with airborne speed scrubbing capabilities.  While on the ground the body has several pockets and spoilers to increase downforce, grip and stability, once airborne a quick and common tap of the brakes exposes 2 large side channels to grab air, slowing the car and directing it back to the ground.  Allowing you to carry more closing speed up and over jumps then scrub speed in the air and get the tyres back on the ground as soon as possible, driving the car, and decreasing lap times.  With buggy fitment including HB Racing D8/E8, Mugen MBX8/ECO, Associated RC8 B4.1, TLR 8X series, Kyosho MP11, Sparko F8/F8e, Agama, and Sworkz, each body is made in the USA using crystal clear polycarbonate.  Offered in standard .040” and lightweight .030” options, it comes with protective spray film for overspray protection, window masks and official Klinik RC logo decals.

Factory Team RC10B7 -4 Offset Alu Rear Hubs

Team Associated’s option parts & accessories brand Factory Team has introduced these new -4 offset aluminium rear hubs.   The hubs serve as a direct replacement for the plastic -4 rear hubs on the Team Associated RC10B7 1:10 2WD Buggy.  For use on buggy platform they need to be paired with the appropriate 81mm arms, 71mm CVA bones, and B74 CVA axle.  With the trucks you can simply install them because the appropriate CVA bones and axles come in the kit.  The benefits of the aluminium hubs are the added rigidity and weight difference.  The weight difference is a nice tuning option for those that want to change the amount of unsprung weight.  The hubs are offered in both blue or black in your choice of standard or HRC geometry.
