R1 Wurks R1B Rear Carbon Chassis Brace

Becoming a full buggy kit manufacturer earlier this year with the release of their 2WD R1B, California based aftermarket buggy parts producer R1 Wurks has released this Rear Carbon Chassis Brace for its own buggy.  This option can be used to tune the rear chassis flex of the R1B with two options offered – Medium-Soft, and Medium.  The brace slot just under the kit-standard aluminium brace in terms of flexibility.  However, they provide a different feel compared to the aluminium brace, as these braces have more spring due to their material and isotropic layup construction, which delivers exceptional and consistent flex characteristics.  For weight comparison, the Aluminium version is 9.85 grams while the Carbon, Medium is 6.48 grams and Carbon, Medium-Soft is just 5.10 grams.

JConcepts Silent Rage, Kosmos, Frizzy, and X-Bite 1:10 Buggy Tyres

JConcepts is wrapping up the final full week of June with a big drop of new tyres for 1:10 Buggy releasing the Silent Rage, Kosmos, Frizzy, and X-Bite.  The Silent Rage was originally designed for the 2023 IFMAR World Championships at Hobby Action Raceway in Arizona.  During the build-up to the world championships, the team felt the open front tire could leave an option to create an advantage for its team drivers and the new tire was specifically designed to have 2 different sidewall heights and depending on conditions, the user could alter the direction for gains.  As it happened, the indoor circuit did not mature as rapidly as thought and the new Silent Rage were never removed from hiding.  This did not stop the development, JConcepts doubled down and created a rear tire in the same fashion. Throughout 2024-2026 the team has tested this concept at tracks across the country with great results on off-road and dirt oval track competition. The composition of the tyre body makes it ideal for high-bite surfaces.  A racer can place the low-profile sidewall toward the inside or outside depending on conditions or stagger for dirt oval or banked conditions.

Revolution Design B84 Lightweight Ring Gear Set

Revolution Design has released a Lightweight Ring Gear Set for the Team Associated B84 1:10 4WD Buggy.  The innovative 2-piece design offers massive weight savings with the reduction in rotating mass leading to a more agile and faster buggy.  With the Lightweight Ring Gear Set, you can take your drivetrain efficiency to the next level – perfect for both highly competitive Stock racing and high-powered Modified classes.  The original factory part features a heavy, one-piece steel gear design that weighs in at 13.4 grams.  Revolution Design (RDRP) completely re-engineered this component by utilising a smart 2-piece construction.  The RDRP set features a hard-anodized aluminium differential cover paired with a separate steel ring gear and weighs an incredibly light 7.3 grams.  This significantly reduces the rotational mass at a critical point in the drivetrain.  Since the B84 uses two differentials, this upgrade provides a total weight reduction of 12 grams per car.
