VSR Products 8ight-XE battery protector

VSR Products have announced the release of their new 3-D-printed battery protector for the TLR 8ight-XE 1/8th scale electric buggy kit. The guard covers the centre diff gear and prevents it from rubbing on the battery during heavy impacts – all while helping stop rocks and debris from getting jammed in the gear mesh. The stock screws are used to mount the guard onto the top of the centre diff top plate, however the guards is only usable with the diff gear located towards the back of the chassis. The guard is 3-D-printed with carbon fibre reinforced plastic, providing exceptional strength and longevity.

Schelle Racing Innovations B74 fan mount & wire clip

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced their new fan mount and wire clip for the Team Associated B74 buggy. The simple fan mount design and included wire routing clip will make the install a breeze. No servo tape, no customisation needed – and it fits all 30mm fans. The design features a low profile fan placement, hovers a fraction of a millimetre off the chassis and it is a direct bolt on fit that installs in minutes. Included comes a wire clip to keep those wires from getting sucked into the drive-train. The set includes the 3-D-printed fan mount, wire clip, M3x16 BH screws for fan, and M3x10 BH screw for mounting.

Tamiya TBLM-02S 17.5T & 21.5T brushless motors

Tamiya have announced the soon release of their new TBLM-02S sensored 17.5T and 21.5T brushless motors. Maintenance-free and featuring dual ball races for efficiency the motors are ideal for both on-road and off-road vehicles where drivability and long run times are called for. The 17.5T/2200kV variant is ideal for touring cars, M-Chassis, Formula and Buggy kits while the 21.5T/1800kV variant basically covers the same applications, however its lower speed makes for an easier to drive car. The motors are usable with virtually every 540-class sensored brushless speed controller.

Reds Racing V2.1 Tetra Scuderia Edition clutch system

Reds Racing have released the V2.1 Tetra Clutch system setup specifically configured for the 721 Scuderia off-road engine. The clutch features aluminium shoes and four 1.0 springs which improve the 721 Scuderia engine power delivery. The clutch assembly combined with Reds Racing Clutch bells have proven to guarantee extraordinary fuel mileage in recent tests and competitions and the clutch set is available both with 32mm and 34mm diameter to make it suitable for any type of car. Optional parts to further fine-tune the performance include high Inertia flywheels for low acceleration, recommended for low grip tracks, and low inertia flywheels for high acceleration, recommended for high grip tracks. Using the configurable top plate and springs, there are also six other combinations to further tune clutch action: 1.0 and 1.1 mm springs and three preload adjustments with the top plate.

Xray XB8 71.5mm rear shock shafts

Coming from Xray and made for their XB8 series of buggies are 71.5mm rear shock shafts. 4mm longer than the standard parts the shock shafts allow for increased droop which comes handy especially on bumpy surfaces. The parts are made of high-tensile steel and feature super-smooth finish for best possible suspension efficiency. The shafts come in sets of two.

Performa Racing waterproof crawler brushless combo

Performa Racing have announced the release of their new waterproof brushless speed controller and motor combo for trail trucks and crawlers. The set includes the new Limited Red Rock Edition Radical Crawler motor and the new Radical Crawler controller. A specialised sensor technology and a crawler special staggered pole rotor deliver a new level of speed accuracy for uphill, downhill, and super slow crawling conditions. The Radical Technology provides ultra-smooth throttle control without cogging and allows precise deceleration when going down steep inclines. Tamiya Subaru Brat Blue Version

Tamiya soon have a special Blue Version of their iconic Subaru Brat 2WD truck available. The full-size Subaru Brat was made solely for export and achieved tremendous popularity in the U.S. market in the 1970s. Tamiya first produced an R/C version of this popular little truck back in 1983. The current version is an updated, improved re-release of the classic RC truck. Aside from the upgraded internal parts, this assembly kit comes with a driver figure for a nostalgic feel. In addition, both a super-detailed ABS body for shelf display and a lightweight durable polycarbonate body for racing are included.
