Exotek roll out new AE 6.1 series optionals

Coming from Exotek are several new option parts for the Team Associated 6.1 series off-road kits. First up is the Flite top shaft for the Flite spur gear mount. Made for the 6.1 series of laydown and layback transmission kit, but not for the standup transmission, the ultra light top shaft has been drilled and the teeth narrowed for increased acceleration and a cooler running motor. The top shaft teeth are 6.5mm wide which is wider than the lightweight Associated top shaft teeth which helps prolong the life of the plastic idler gear. Substantially lighter than the stock shaft and slipper assembly when combined with Exotek’s optimally available special lightened spur mount, the assembly weighs in at only 9.2g complete with hardware and 69 spur. The shaft is made in Germany and comes black anodised for wear resistance.

Cragg Racing KWF 1/10th off-road tyre inserts

UK Cragg Racing distributors Schumacher have introduced two new KWF 1/10th buggy tyre inserts. They are a bit softer than the Schumacher mediums but slightly larger. Therefore they fill the tyre more, giving different support, enabling drivers to tune to different track conditions. The Mick Cragg developed KWF inserts are used by UK’s Neil Cragg with great success and they are available as 4WD front and 2WD/4WD rear inserts.

Samix SCX10 II aluminium steering knuckles V2

Coming from Samix is the V2 aluminium steering knuckle set for the Samix SCX10 II trail truck. Updated for strength the hubs feature POM bearing inserts to ensure easier bearing changes in the event of a failure and less stress on the steering knuckles while also allowing to adjust the height of the outer toe link ballstud height. The parts come anodised in three colour choices.

Fantom Icon Pro Modified & Pro Spec motors

Coming soon from Fantom Racing are their new Icon Pro Modified and Pro Spec electric brushless motors. The heart of the motors are the patented design stator and patent pending tuning pins with the two features promising greatly improved performance in terms of torque and RPM. The stator provides maximum torque and RPM while the tuning pins eliminate the need for stator screws while allowing to fine-tune RPM vs. torque. The motor is available in the most coming modified and stock windings and it is widely factory-tuneable in terms of rotors, bearings and other options.

T-Works MP9E Evo graphite centre gearbox plate

T-Works have introduced a graphite centre gearbox plate for the Kyosho MP9E Evo 1/8th E-Buggy. The plate releases the standard item for a lighter and cooler looking part. It is a direct replacement and understood to work exclusively with the Evo spec kit.

Tamiya Avante 2011 Black Special 4WD buggy kit

Coming soon from Tamiya is the re-release kit of the Avante 2011 Black Special, a limited edition of the iconic Avante buggy. Already a re-release back in 2011, the kit will now make another appearance on the market, pleasing collectors and vintage racer alike. The 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit will include a number of option parts such as the racing steering and ball differential torque splitter set – the latter two sets will also become available separately as an upgrade for older spec kits. All items will become available by mid-December.

Reds Racing WRX HE 3.4cc nitro engine

Reds Racing have released their new WRX High Efficiency 3.4cc nitro off-road engine. The new engine has been specifically developed to noticeably reduce fuel consumption, allowing drivers to get more than nine minutes of runtime. The power plant uses the experience gained with the WRX Corsa Lunga engine and features a reduced 3.4cc displacement, a special High Efficiency crankshaft with a restrictor to get improved fuel mileage and it comes with the new VCX3 carburettor. The engine is best used with the 2113 off-road pipe in combination with an L manifold.

HB introduce new JC truggy body & shock tower

Coming from HB Racing are the JConcepts-made Finnisher truggy body shell and the V2 front shock tower for the D817T truck. The clear body has dimples for easy installation on the E817T and D817T truggies with the aggressively styled Finnisher design being a proven winner with multiple championship victories. The separately available V2 front shock tower is designed to mount the JConcepts Finnisher bodyshell on the D817T truggy and it is precision-milled from thick carbon graphite for maximum stiffness, durability and light weight.
