Exotek D413 Pro’17 chassis & accessories

Exotek D413 Pro'17 chassis & accessories

Exotek have introduced the Pro’17 chassis kit for HB Racing’s D413 buggy as well as a range of accessories for the respective kit. Starting with the chassis, the set includes a black anodised +4mm 7075 aluminium chassis with delrin side rails that makes the buggy easier to drive on all track surfaces while also helping with easier maintenance. The machined centre chassis uses front and rear alloy back bones that bolt to the chassis and reinforces it without the need of a top plate much like other top level buggies. Raised and angled machined side rails then bolt to the chassis for improved ground clearance, debris blocking and the use of velcro for body retention. Eliminating the top plate structures makes differential access much easier and eliminates the chance of broken or cracked top plates. The added +80g of weight of the chassis lowers the centre of gravity and, while improving flex, makes the D413 faster and more consistent over a full race. The conversion includes the main chassis and side rails, alloy servo mounts, a heavy duty alloy steering crank arm, front and rear alloy centre back bones, hardware and instructions.

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Tekno RC NB48.3 buggy is the new Silencer S1 bodyshell. Offering a distinctive cab forward design with a medium rake angle for an aggressive driving feel without sacrificing out-right balance the body also sports forward pods that have the necessary height for chassis related items with an added scoop, built for cooling access from a forward position. The rear deck is built up and includes a rear winglet which drops some force on the rear of the vehicle. The mid-length cab incorporates a one-piece side window layout and includes a long shark fin off the rear of the cab for side-traction and straight-line tracking ability. Infinity TLR 22 3.0 carbon fibre rear shock tower brace

Infinity TLR 22 3.0 carbon fibre rear shock tower brace

Coming from X Factory’s Infinity line of option parts is a new carbon fibre rear shock tower brace for laydown converted TLR 22 3.0 buggies. Initially developed by J.P. Richards, it moves the shocks to the front of the rear arms and has many advantages over the standard layout. By moving the somewhat heavy shocks forward, their weight is closer to the centre of gravity which can give a huge advantage in a range of track conditions. The carbon fibre brace also stiffens the tower and forward shocks control the motion of the arms better. According to Richards the car jumps better with the stiffer tower and better arm control. It pushes off the jump face better and lands better. It is also more consistent in corners, especially on-power during exit. The car can be driven harder through every corner and over every jump. The set includes the carbon fibre shock tower brace as well as all needed mounting hardware.
