Pro-Line Hyrax 1.9" tyre & new crawler inserts

Coming from Pro-Line are the new Hyrax 1.9″ G8 Rock Terrain truck tyre as well as two rock crawler foam inserts. Starting with the tyre, designed from the ground up for maximum grip on the toughest terrain, the Hyrax features an aggressive and open tread pattern with each tread block containing multiple spies for optimized tread flex. The highly detailed connected tread on the sidewall of the tyre extends out for exceptional side-hilling performance. Made from G8 material the tyre also features futuristic stepped tread blocks that create even more forward gripping edges that dig into slick rocks. The tyre fits most 1.9″ wheels and it comes including open cell inserts.

Pro-Line are bringing back the popular Early 50’s Chevy Panel truck bodyshell for solid axle monster trucks. Originally released by Pro-Line in 2001 for the Traxxas T-Maxx, Pro-Line bring back the nostalgia of the iconic truck body that is a perfect fit for all custom solid axle monster trucks. The body features round headlights, uniquely shaped front grill lines that flow into the hood and a split front windshield. As usual the body comes clear, with applied overspray film and it includes a comprehensive decal sheet.

O.S. Speed Gold nitro engine glow plugs

O.S. Engines have introduced their new O.S. Speed Gold glow plugs. Building on the success of the recently introduced limited edition #80 plug the P3, P4, RP6 and RP7 turbo-style plugs complement the already existing range with the P3 and P4 offering improved low to middle-range power and quicker response to throttle inputs, allowing for quicker spool up and also more stable idling. The different idling characteristics will also be acoustically noticeable. As for the RP6 and RP7, both glow plugs will also offer improved low-end power and quicker spool-up. The glow plugs become available by October.

JConcepts B6-series Finnisher aluminium wing buttons

JConcepts have introduced the B6-series Finnisher aluminium wing buttons. The machined aluminium design with durable outer rim and stylish inner hex design offers a bit more security over traditional plastic wing buttons with the design incorporating through-holes and notched hexes which make it incredibly lightweight but strong in all the important areas. The attachment area has an already built-in countersunk feature which allows for the cleanest assembly possible. The wing buttons are available in blue and black anodising.

Tekno 1/8th HRC rear hubs & universal driveshafts

Tekno have announced the addition of five new products to their lineup in the form of high roll centre rear hubs, front/rear universal driveshafts for the NT48.3 and ET48.3 truggies as well as three centre universal driveshafts to improve the consistency of the NB48.3 and NT48.3 driveline. Starting with the rear hubs, by lowering the hinge pin location compared to the stock rear hubs, Tekno have raised the rear roll centre in just the right place. The HRC variants increase on-power traction and stability while decreasing body roll. All of this with improved rotation into a corner and no compromise in on-power steering. To reduce wear and increase part lifespan, they are moulded from durable nylon and include locations for hinge pin set screws. The parts work both left and right, with CV or universal driveshafts and on all of Tekno’s 1/8th scale kits.

RDRP B6-series carbon fibre battery plate

Coming from Revolution Design Racing Products is the carbon fibre battery plate for the Team Associated B6 series of buggies. The plate matches the stock dimensions but the construction of carbon fibre and aluminium makes for a more stylish appearance compared to the standard composite plastic part. The lightweight plate is of a honeycomb design for looks and stability and it allows to shift the battery pack forth and back to fine-tune the weight bias of the buggy while also adding visual impact. The battery plate comes with three blue anodised aluminium battery stoppers, it is usable with both the B6 and B6D and it supports all of the original battery layouts.

Dynamite Reaction HV hardcase LiPo battery packs

Coming from Horizon Hobby are the new Dynamite Reaction HV LiHV hardcase battery packs. Made using high-quality 50C cells the battery packs are ideal for bashers and also outlaw racing classes as their high-voltage LiPo cells offer increased overall voltage over standard cells. The batteries can be charged up to 4.35V per cell versus the standard 4.2V, using a HV-compatible charger, and they are available in a range of configurations including a 4000mAh 7.6V/2S shorty pack with EC3 connector, a 5000mAh 7.6V/2S standard-size pack, a 5000mAh 11.4V/3S 35mm height pack with EC5 connector and a 5000mAh 15.2V/4S battery. The standard 2S and 4S packs are available with EC3, EC5, Deans and Traxxas compatible connectors.

O.S. Speed B2102 low-profile buggy engine

On show during this week’s Tokyo Hobby Show is O.S. Engines’ new Speed B2102 3.5cc nitro buggy engine. The most noticeable part of the power plant is its low-profile cooling head that sits about 17mm lower than standard, making for a greatly lowered centre of gravity without sacrificing cooling performance. Also new to the B2102 are the carburettor, crankcase, combustion camber insert and more. The engine will become available from December as engine only or including a T2090SC muffler.
