Team Associated have released lightweight pillow balls for the RC8B3 and RC8B3e buggies. The parts are a direct replacement for the standard steel versions and they reduce unsprung mass in the front steering block assembly, resulting in a more aggressive steering feel which is perfect for smooth track conditions with high grip levels.
Pro-Line have a range of new off-road related products available such as a 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor True Scale body, BFGoodrich crawler tyres and 5 inch PowerStroke XT shock absorbers. Starting with the bodyshell, the all-new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor True Scale truck body is made for many of today’s SC trucks such as the Pro-2, Slash, and SC10 and it makes for a highly detailed yet functional replica of the unreleased 2017 Raptor thanks to the body’s details and the comprehensive sticker sheet. As usual the body comes clear and including window masks.
ST Racing Concepts have released first images of their forthcoming CNC-machined aluminium monster truck racing chassis kit for the Axial Wraith. The direct bolt on kit lowers the electronics and battery mounting, it offers adjustable weight distribution of the electronics, and the option to mount the Wraith sway bar kit. Reds Racing have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming 1/8th scale brushless speed controller. The device seems to sport an all-aluminium case with separated areas for the motor and battery wires on opposite sides of the speedo. Also visible is a finely ripped heatsink with fan unit as well as an aluminium fan guards to keep rocks and debris away. More information and images should become available soon.

Following a first teaser Sweep now officially revealed their all-new Pixel 1/8th off-road tyre. Sporting a closely spaced square block tread the tyre is meant to offer improved wear characteristics especially on abrasive tracks while the bigger and wider V5 carcass design with a larger footprint prevents the tyre from excessive ballooning while making for a comfortable handling at the same time. The Pixel will become available in Sweep’s new Long Life X compounds soon.
New from Team Associated come Factory Team CVA driveshafts for the RC8B3 and RC8B3e. They can be used as a tuning option to the universals that come standard in the kits as the CVA assemblies will provide a more aggressive steering feeling, perfect for use on smoother track surfaces. They include steel axles from standard but the an optional aluminium axle can be used for further adjustment to minimise both rotating and unsprung mass, giving an even more aggressive steering feeling and quicker acceleration; ideal for smooth tracks with high-grip levels. All components in the CVA sets are available as individual parts and can be rebuilt as wear occurs using the rebuild kit.
New from DE Racing and made for the Team Associated RC8B3 are the front BumpSkid and rear skid plate. The BumpSkid combines a superior front skid plate with a refined front bumper to create the ultimate in protection and performance. The rear skid plates offer the highest quality engineering resin that wears like aluminium at a fraction of the weight while eliminating the need for longer screws. Both parts protect the chassis from excessive wear on abrasive surfaces.
Team Associated have introduced the Factory Team aluminium rear hubs for the RC8B3 and RC8B3e buggies. These hubs include inserts for adjusting the axle height with the lowest setting will make turns easier to drive through, though slower whereas the highest setting will make the buggy turn more quickly. The kit universal axles will fit the Factory Team rear hubs with the addition of the optional 8x16x5mm bearings set and the hub inserts are also sold separately for spares and repair.
