Tadahiko Sahashi is Worlds Top Qualifier

Team Serpent’s Tadahiko Sahashi is the Top Qualifier at the 1:8 Onroad World Championships in Japan. The 24-year-old claimed the honour thanks to his time set on the opening day of qualifying as yet again conditions for the sixth & final qualifier left the Keitune Racing Speedway slower than Tuesday evening’s Q2 rocket round. With Mugen’s Takehiro Terauchi the only driver to run 36 laps in Q6, there was no improvement from the top 24 drivers with top US racer Paolo Morganti the biggest mover for the round with a time that moved him from 39th to 25th to book himself a place in the 1/4 finals.

CRC Formula 1 prototype spotted

During this week’s International Indoor Championships in Las Vegas CRC is running what appears to be a prototype Formula chassis. The car in question features a double wishbone front suspension with lower carbon fibre A-arms and adjustable upper plastic arms. The rear motor pod looks like a redesigned 1/12 scale slider pod with the chassis and rear suspension being of the now-poplar link-type design to allow the in-line mounting of the battery pack. ZZRacing T4 2014 screw sets

ZZRacing have new optional screw sets available for the Xray T4 2014. Coming in titanium or stainless steel variants, each set includes all the screws needed to replace the stock black steel fasteners. Both sets are made from high quality material with the titanium screws scrubbing some weight and adding rigidity compared to the stainless steel fasteners.

RSD RX4 chassis conversion for Xray T4

The Reflex Racing RSD RX4 chassis conversion kit is designed for Xray’s pre-2014 T4 platform. The kit includes a new 2.25mm thick and only 85mm wide main chassis plate that offers more ground clearance during fast cornering. The chassis sports mounting positions for both regular length and shorty LiPo battery packs and features new captured pivot balls and adjustable plastic insert suspension mounts. Toe angles and track width is adjustable using different inserts and the design of the system does not allow the suspension arm to get loose when clipping curbs or dots, which over a race will allow the car to stay more consistent from beginning to end of the run. The backwards compatible set includes the main chassis, aluminium suspension mounts, a full plastic insert set, front and rear stainless steel hinge pins and hardened steel pivot balls.

CRC Gen-X 10 SE & Xti Altered Ego kit

Calandra Racing Concepts introduce two new car kits in the form of the Gen-X 10 Slider Edition and the Xti Altered Ego full car kit. Designed for the World GT class the proven Gen-X 10 received a make over to become lighter, narrower and more adjustable. The Slider Edition or SE in short now features CRC’s Slider rear pod plates for steeples, easy ride height adjustment. The chassis offers multiple battery positions using locators and sports additional slots for custom placement of 1S packs. Included with the kit comes CRC’s Encore shock and the Pro-Strut front suspension and all carbon fibre parts are now also made using a new quadaxial, high-modulus material for added toughness and rigidity..
