C.Andy’s AHA race management system

C.Andy's AHA race management system

C.Andy’s have produced this AHA race management system for clubs and event/series organisers. The system places a small circuit board between the LiPo and the ESC which limits the electricity delivered to the ESC. The amount can be easily programmed by the organiser and easily checked through the use of LEDs. If the racer uses too much power the system will blink red and the driver wont pass post race scrutiny. The idea is to equalise the power from different ESCs, batteries and motors for example if you are using too much timing, you will use more power.

Novarossi launches Virtus Power engine line

Novarossi launches Virtus Power engine line

Novarossi has unveiled their all-new generation of high-end engine today. The unveiling of the new Model family goes by the name of ‘Virtus Power’ also marks the launch of series production of the new units. The new engine line features a different position of the carburetor, which is now offset from the centre line of the engine. This new position offers a better mixture flow through the crankcase’s intake and crankshaft, with new engineering guaranteeing a better balance with improved fuel efficiency and a better power curve. Other changes include the use of 6 screws on the cooling-head instead of 4 to ensure a better sealing between sleeve, bottom head and the crankcase. The first engine to be released using this new technology is the Virtus.21 long stroke 9 port on road engine.

Xray T4 graphite adjustable battery holder

Xray T4 graphite adjustable battery holder

For the T4 from Xray comes this graphite adjustable battery holder that allows for adjustment to eliminate battery play on the chassis. The battery position can be moved forward, rearward, inboard or outboard depending on the battery size used, allowing the battery to be positioned ideally for chassis balance and tuning needs. If heavy electronics are used, the battery can be positioned more outboard to achieve proper balance (or inboard for lighter electronics). The battery can be moved forward for increased stability or to the rear for additional steering.

Serpent S411 composite gear differential

Serpent S411 composite gear differential

Coming soon from Serpent is the composite gear differential for the S411 line of cars. Making use of a lightweight plastic cage the diff features composite material internal gears and a X-shaped cross pin made from the same material. The outdrives are hardcoated aluminium items that replace the original steel parts for even lighter weight. The reduced rotation mass makes for better acceleration and increased overall performance. The original sintered metal gears are still useable with the V2 composite cage allowing for various gear combinations to achieve a different feel.
