Shepherd Velox V8.3 1:8 Onroad Chassis

Shepherd Micro Racing has finally released its Velox V8.3 1:8 Onroad chassis, the first new kit release since Zen Racing took over the specialist onroad nitro manufacturer. An evolution of the world championship Velox V8 platform, the Velox V8.3 prototype was used by Lars Hoppe to win the Austrian round of ENS in 2024 and help him to podium in the overall ENS season standings. Featuring a new pocketed chassis offering various insert options for fine tuning and a lowered engine position for better CG. A new lightspeed gearbox for improved performance and reliability in all conditions. A totally newly designed front bulkhead giving the racer the opportunity to position the front one-way in one of 6 different configurations. This combined with an optional fixed front axle and a new lower positioned front roll bar completes the innovative design. The Velox V8.3 is then given a new radio plate / top deck to give to complete the package. The new Velox V8.3 is offered as a full kit or a conversion kit to update your existing Velox V8.2. The conversion kit is very much part of the company’s philosophy to give racers who have invested in the brand the ability to move to the latest platform without compromising the investment previously made in Shepherd.

Xray X1 Alu 1-Piece 2.0mm Chassis

Xray has introduced a new Aluminium 1-piece 2.0mm chassis for its X1 1:10 Formula platform. CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, black anodized and laser engraved with Xray branding. The new chassis gives increases traction, steering & stability on carpet. Xray recommends its use at high & very high traction carpet tracks.

MOPS TireEditor

Following the release of its ArcCuter last week, German based MOPS has announced its TireEditor. Describing it as ‘a must-have for every touring car driver’, the device was developed in collaboration with the elite of the touring car scene and has proven its worth at various races, such as the ETS. The MOPS Tire Editor breaks down all excess adhesive residue within the tire and also the fabric structure. The insert is virtually massaged and distributed more evenly across the rim. The result is significantly increased true running and improved adhesion.

Mugen Seiki MTC-3 Touring Car

After months of proving the car’s ability on track with Ronald Volker, Jacob Cruz and Soren Sparbier, Mugen Seiki has finally unveiled its highly anticipated MTC-3 electric touring car kit. The MTC-3 is an evolution of the highly successful MTC-2 and MTC-2R platform with the prototype first raced at the 2024 IFMAR World Championship, where the two MTC-3’s entered in the event both made the A-Main with Volker finishing 4th and Jacob Cruz finishing 10th. The MTC-3 is a complete new design from Robert Pietsch with the only parts transfer over from the MTC-2R being drive shafts, spool, diff, and drive belts. The MTC-3 features a 1.5mm aluminium chassis and a unique top deck design and short shocks round out a new new suspension package.

ALF1 3D-Printed F1 Front and Rear Wings

Based in California ALF1 Racing Designs has released these new 3D printed 1:10 Formula 1 wings utilise Tamiya F104 style wing mounts, ensuring broad applicability across various chassis platforms. Meticulously 3D-printed using resilient TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) to absorb the harsh impacts encountered during intense race conditions, this material choice ensures exceptional durability and longevity. For critical areas that demand maximum rigidity, the rear side plates and front mount are constructed from carbon fibre infused PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol). This advanced composite material provides superior strength and stiffness, ensuring optimal aerodynamic performance and precise handling. The front wing is designed with a low downforce profile, incorporating strategically placed ‘pass-through’ air ventilation holes to minimise drag while maintaining a modern 2025 F1 aesthetic. New from T-Works are these Quick Lock 4mm and 5mm Bullet Connecters. The screw lock design makes it easy to securely connect to the battery by hand or using a 2mm hex tool. With a larger connect surface giving less resistance and more efficient power delivery, the connecter set is available Red/Black for easy positive and negative connection identification while a Black/Black anodised colour option can be identified via the laser engraved +/- Polarity symbols.
