Made for Serpent vehicles such as the Project 4X, F110, S120, 748 and 977 are T-Works’ titanium upper arm pivot balls. The parts are made from high-quality 64-grade titanium and they replace the standard kit pivot balls. Offering a lower weight than steel while being still tough and durable, titanium parts lower the weight of the car while also adding visual impact.

Hobbywing have introduced the new EzRun Max10 sensorless brushless speed controller and the EzRun 3652 and 3660 G2 sensorless brushless motors. Starting with the controller, designed for bashers and fun racing, the Max10 utilises a range of protection features such as ESC capacitor thermal, water and also over temperature protection for the motor – the latter is taken care off by an additional wire that plugs right into motors such as the new EzRun 36xx G2 series. Furthermore the controller makes use of a heavy duty 6V/7.4V BEC system andit sports a protected on/off switch to ensure reliability even in dusty conditions. The 3S LiPo-compatible speedo can be adjusted using the internal set button but also HW’s LED and LCD program box as well as the WiFi module.
Coming from Arrowmax are two sets of 5mm diameter titanium pivot balls. Made from high-quality 64-grade material and offering an M3 thread section of 6mm or 8mm length the pivot balls are exceptionally strong and durable and they come in sets of six pieces.

T-Works have introduced two new screw sets for the Serpent Project 4X touring car. First up is a 120-piece set of 64-grade titanium screws with the kit including both countersunk and the new UFO head button screws. The lightweight yet durable fasteners reduce the overall weight of the car while adding visual impact. The second new kit is the 141-piece gold-plated steel screw set. Made from high-grade steel the fasteners are direct replacements for the stock parts.

Hobbywing have introduced the 1S 1/12th scale version of their popular Xerun XR10 speed controller. 6mm shorter and 12g lighter than is predecessor V3.1 1S, the controller, that made a first public appearance at the recent IFMAR Electric On-road World Championships, allows for better placement within the chassis while also granting for easier weight distribution adjustments. The machined black alloy case houses a built-in switch and a capacitor module to further save weight and space while in terms of software the 1S variant sports five pre-sets commonly used in 1/12th scale racing while the optional LCD Program Box and WiFi Module make further adjustments of the parameters easy. The 1S-only speedo is usable without an external receiver battery as it sports a switched 6V/3A BEC system.

Coming from T-Works and made for the new Serpent Project 4X touring car is a titanium turnbuckle set. Machined from high-quality 64-grade titanium the set includes a total of 13 links and a suitable 4mm wrench. Swapping the standard turnbuckles for titanium ones will reduce the overall weight without sacrificing strength.

Coming soon from VBC Racing is the all-new Wildfire D09 4WD electric touring car kit. Featuring a redesigned suspension geometry the D09 will be VBC’s most competitive touring car kit to date. The kit is set for a release in October and more information should surface in time for the release. Update: In the meantime we were able to dig up a list that describes the D09’s new features as well as get our hands on a couple of – pretty rough – renderings. Coming from JConcepts is the Fin Reamer for polycarbonate bodyshells and wings. The custom 0 to 14mm reamer design combines a sharp, durable tip with an aluminium handle which is available in blue and black colours. The handle features an ergonomic shape with finned cuts and tear-drop recessed areas to reduce weight and add an important lustre to the design. The reamer tip cover is a moulded plastic component built just for the design and application. The stacked piping on the cover packs a look but also serves as a grip for the on and off process. The handle also has an end cap which includes the JC logo.
