New Exotek Tamiya touring car options released

Exotek have introduced new option parts for a range of Tamiya touring cars. First up are aluminium 4 degree C-hubs for the TRF419 and Evo6. Precision-machined from 7075 aluminium and coming black anodised and with Titanium-Nitride coated knuckle bushings the parts offer improved durability and rigidity over the stock nylon hubs. This leads to a more consistent handling especially in high-grip conditions. Machined to a lightweight 8 grams per pair the parts, that also fit the TRF418 and TA07 cars, additionally offer tighter tolerances thanks to the included high-precision bushings.

Yokomo BD8 coming soon

Yokomo have officially announced that the all new BD8 1/10th touring car is coming. The Yokomo factory team are running prototypes of the new car in Beijing, China this week at the IFMAR Worlds, and we are told that the new platform is scheduled for an October release. Stay tuned for more information.

WTF Bat ESC fan mount version 2

Coming from Wild Turbo Fan is the version 2 BTA speed controller fan mount. Offering a revised fan angle and new carbon fibre guides the mount now channels the cooling air better towards the controller’s heat sink and the motor. The mount fits both 25mm and 30mm ESC mounting patterns and the whole assembly weighs in at only 2.7g without fan.

Scorpion Vanguard S3-80 Turbo Stock speed controller

Scorpion have introduced their new Vanguard S3-80 Turbo Stock brushless speed controller. Building on the S3-140 Modify and S3-80 Super Stock ESCs the new Turbo Stock was especially developed for demanding Stock class racing with 8.5T to 25.5T motors and it offers a wide range of timing and turbo adjustments to make it usable for competitive boosted class racing. The controller is built using military-spec components, it utilises an aluminium heatsink case and features a 6V/3A BEC system, multiple protection features and it is usable with both sensored and sensorless motors. The V-Link cable for easy setup using a PC and a high-speed cooling fan are available optionally.

Trinity introduce Motolyser DC 1S booster

Trinity have introduced the Motolyser DC 1S booster for all 1S LiPo battery classes. Super small and of a low weight the voltage booster allows to run 1S LiPo-powered 1/12th and 1/10th scale cars without the need for an additional, and heavy, receiver battery pack. The booster features an on/off switch that is mounted right on the PCB for improved durability and reliability and it was used by TQ Marc Rheinard and new IFMAR World Champion, Naoto Matsukura, among others, during this week’s Electric On-road World Championships.

Coming from Shepherd and made for the Velox F1 kit are aluminium caster inserts. Available as flippable 3 degree/12 degree or 6 degree/9 degree variant the inserts are made from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium to replace the standard composite parts for cooler looking and even more precise items. The sets include three pieces of each type and they are available in blue or black colour from now on.

Ruddog 30mm & 40mm fan units with all-black wire

New from Ruddog come a total of three motor and speed controller fan units. The 30mm high airflow fan comes with a pre-wired 240mm all-black receiver cable while the larger 40mm units come either pre-wired with a 240mm all-black cable or as DIY variant with solder tabs and a separate 180mm wire. The latter allows to reduce the wire length by your own or to change the wire in case it got damaged over time. All fans utilise universal connectors and they are available now.

SkyRC Toro X8 V2 1/8th scale brushless motor

SkyRC have introduced their new Toro X8 V2 electric brushless motor for 1/8th scale applications. The sensorless motor is housed in a CNC-machined T6 billet aluminium heatsink can and it is of a 6-pole, 18-slot stator design for a high-torque, high-power output. Utilising super high conductance silicon wires, a sintered neodymium magnet rotor and high purity copper windings the motor also offers high efficiency for low operation temperatures. The X8 V2 is available in a 2100kv and a 2400kv variant soon.
