HPI Racing Nuremberg Toy Fair news

During the forthcoming Nuremberg International Toy Fair HPI Racing will have a bunch of new kits on show. The new-for-2016 range include an RS3 Sport 3 based Ford Mustang Hoonicorn, a Vaughn Gittin Jr. Signature Edition Savage XS Flux, new Baja 5B based off-road buggies as well as several updated Savage 1/8th scale monster trucks beside others. More detailed information on the new kits become available very soon.

Hobbywing XR10 Pro brushless speed controller

Coming soon is Hobbywing’s all-new XR10 Pro brushless speed controller for 1/10th scale applications. Developed in co-operation with Hobbywing North America the ESC was on show during last weekend’s Reedy Race of Champions and it was designed with both modified and stock racing in mind. It features a redesigned all-alloy can, a new processor and it is meant to be better in all aspects as it offers an even wider adjustment range, better and more adjustable brakes, and improved throttle response for both modified and stock racing. New to the XR10 Pro are also special modified racing throttle profiles. The XR10 Pro will become available this Spring.

Hobbywing Xerun V10 G2 brushless motors

UK Hobbywing distributors Schumacher have introduced the new Xerun V10 brushless G2 modified and stock motors. They are built around a black anodised all-aluminium can with large venting holes at the front and smaller openings in the rear. The motors feature standard-size high quality ball bearings, adjustable timing, and highly temperature-resistant copper windings. An integrated sensor monitors the internal temperature when coupled to respective Hobbywing speed controllers. The V10 are available as 3.5T to 8.5T modified as well as 10.5T to 21.5T stock racing variants.

WRC F-One 2016 formula car kit

WRC have introduced the F-One 2016 1/10th scale formula car kit. The car builds on the previous F-One but features several refinements such as a redesigned chassis for increased performance and a new front suspension with uniball system. Other parts include a new easy caster adjustment system, a new roll damper as well as a new, lighter differential assembly. The kit is rounded out by a bodyshell and a set of P-One racing tyres.

Coming from Serpent and made for the Eryx 4.0 touring car are optional split suspension brackets for the rear suspension. CNC-machined from high-quality aluminium and coming gun metal anodised and laser-etched for easy identification the 0.5 and 1.5 RF brackets allow for easier use of the optional Reactive Rear Steering system.

New Capricorn TE03 V3 upper deck & F1-01 side links

Capricorn have new option parts for the TE03 V3 touring car and the F1-01 formula car available. Starting with the TE03 part, coming very soon is an optional carbon fibre upper deck that allows for more chassis flex while also offering slightly different flex characteristics. The part helps to fine-tune the car’s behaviour in certain track conditions. Also new are adjustable side links that replace the 1-piece kit parts. The links are made up using standard ball cups, pivot balls and L/R thread turnbuckles.

Fenix DFV 13.5T & 21.5T brushless stock motors

Italian company Fenix Racing have introduced their new DFV stock brushless motor. The EFRA-approved spec racing motor is available as 13.5T touring car and 21.5T formula variant and it utilises a machined 7075-T6 aluminium can with large airflow vents as well as a 12.5mm sintered Neodymium rotor for controllable torque over the whole RPM range. Pre-shaped heavy duty solder tabs and an adjustable timing endbell round out the package.

Xray have released a first teaser image for their RX8’16 1/8th scale nitro on-road car. With the last revision of the RX8 platform being made in 2014 the car is set for a certain overhaul and more information will become available soon.
