CRC WTF1-FC16 formula car kit

CRC WTF1-FC16 formula car kit

Calandra Racing Concepts have introduced the new FC16 version of their successful WTF1 formula car kit. The car is based on a 2.5mm quadaxial, high modulus carbon fibre chassis that allows for three different battery placements in an inline forward and rear as well as a transverse position. The steering servo can be mounted in a standup of laydown position and like the chassis, the front lower wishbone parts as well as rear lower pod plate, battery plate and more are also made up using 2.5mm QHM carbon fibre. Other features include a dual tube roll damper, CRC’s Slider Pod rear ride height adjustment as well as the CRC Pro Diff ball differential mounted on a lightweight carbon fibre rear axle shaft. The WTF1-FC16 kit has already proven its performance by TQing and winning the US Indoor Champs in Cleveland as well as the 2016 Hudy Indoor Champs. The kit will hit the stores early February with a FC16 conversion kit for the original WTF1 car being up for grabs from now on.

Speedzone Peerless V2 brushless motors

Speedzone Peerless V2 brushless motors

Speedzone have released their second generation Peerless series electric brushless motors. The motors feature higher tolerance and more durable components, which helps facilitate a lower resistance, longer lasting motor. A variety of turns are available and each motor is built to the highest of standards. The motors are bench tested and the lightweight design features upgraded bearings and symmetrical vent openings, which in conjunction with the case and stator structure further reduces motor temperature and maximises efficiency. It also allows for easy stator measurement without disassembly. Spec motors are produced with a short stator and HT rotor while modified motors come with a standard size stator.

T-Works Progressive Damper System

T-Works Progressive Damper System

T-Works have introduced their Progressive Damper System for a range of electric touring car kits. Adapting a common design that is popular especially when racing on asphalt tracks, the system utilises bushings with triangular-shaped openings as well as plain pistons. The bushings are inserted into the shock housings and the plain pistons are used in place for the drilled standard ones while the triangular openings in the tubes allowing the oil to bypass the piston on compression. With ongoing compression the opening above the piston becomes smaller, resulting in a progressive, harder dampening that can lead to faster corner speeds and improved stability. Included in each set are four bushings and four plain pistons and the system is available for the HPI Pro5, Xray T4’16 as well as the Yokomo BD7-2015 and BD7-2016.
