Chad Bradley wins unlimited 4wd at JBRL Rd4

At the recent JBRL electric series Rd4 at Racers Haven in Bakersfield, CA the unlimited 4wd short course class saw a full field of Ofna trucks. During qualifying Chad Bradley set the fastest times in both rounds driving the Jammin SCRT-10, Kevin Smith 2nd with the SCRT-10 as well and DJ drove the Hyper 10 SC rounding out the top 3 after qualifying. In the 6-minute main, Chad pulled to an early lead after the first few laps, Kevin Smith and DJ battled for the second position for the majority of the race, which allowed Chad to cruise to an uncontested win with Kevin taking the runner spot ahead of DJ.

JConcepts Super Cup Rd5 short course report

With a reported weather storm on the radar, a quick change of itinerary from Coral Springs to Treasure Coast Raceway made round 5 of the Super Cup even more exciting. With this being a make-up and additional race to the 2010 series, drivers were hyped and ready for action on the technical Treasure Coast track. Huge thanks to both the Coral Springs club and Treasure Coast Speedway for their constant effort and support of the racers in Florida. In the Pro 2 stock SCT class, it was a battle between the points leader Jimmie Cooper and Craig Lowe. Cheston VanAlstyne put his Kyosho truck in the TQ position but a problem forced him out of contention early leaving Jimmie and Craig to battle things out. Craig reigned supreme and earned his 1st win on the 2010 Super Cup series. Jimmie Cooper finished in 2nd with Aaron Wood rounding out the top 3.

Open Short Course race in Celle/Germany

Last weekend saw an open class short course race at the astro turf out door off-road track in Celle, Northern Germany, which took place as part of a northern division regional electric off-road race. The class was dominated by Lennart Sulzbach and his Associated SC10 as he not only TQ’ed but also won the first and second A-main. Second place went to Ulrich Wartmann (Associated SC10) in front of Jörg Heise (Associated SC10). The next three places all went to HPI’s Blitz SC truck with Stefan Wolter, Matze Axmann and Marina Maiwald on 4th to 6th place. Young Matti Breitrück grabbed 7th spot with a Losi Strike SC truck. The high traction astro turf surface made set-up crucial and most of the drivers opted to use harder compound stock tyres in combination with a reduced ride height.

2010 SCT Jamboree at Dirt Hills Raceway

The first annual SCT Jamboree was held at Dirt Hills Raceway in Marion, Ohio on June 12, 2010. Despite rainy conditions, the race drew over 70 entries and the usual SCT classes were held including stock SCT, mod SCT, and 4×4 SCT. The race also featured an 12 and under SCT class. Rob Mangold took the win in the stock class, while Rodney Black was the winner in Mod. Don Goins took victory from the TQ in the 4×4 class and in the 12 and Under class it was Mike Bowling that emerged the winner.

Tuesday Night Nationals – Video

Chad Bradley TQ’s and wins the Tuesday Night Nationals at Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita Ca. This was the first night Chad used Pro-Line’s new Hole Shot SC tire in M3 compound, Chad also used the new Novak Ballistic 4.5 motor and Havok Pro SC ESC.

Rick McCrery TQs and wins SC at Hank Perry 240

Running a pre-production prototype of the Gambler SC truck, Venom’s own Rick McCrery took TQ and 1st Place in the Short Course Truck class at the annual Hank Perry 240 in Spokane, Washington. The 3-day race weekend saw a total of 265 entries across 9 classes and the popular Short Course Class had enough entries for a D Main. Despite tricky weather conditions and rain delays that only allowed for two qualifying heats, the Gambler proved that it’s up to speed against other manufacturers’ platforms by taking the top qualifying position, the win and fastest lap. The Venom Gambler will be released to the public later this summer.

Amezcua goes ProTrac testing for Pro-Line

Pro-Line are reporting that their team driver Travis Amezcua has been working with the development team doing some short course testing. To do so, Pro-Line has outfitted Travis with a ProTrac suspension Slash and the goal is for Travis to provide users of the ProTrac suspension kit and Power Stroke shocks, car set-ups derived from Travis’s hands on testing. Travis hit his first club race with his Slash a Thunder Alley last night where he proceeded to TQ and win the main event. This was Travis’s first chance to run the new Hole-Shot SC, which provided excellent performance according to Travis.

Chad Bradley wins Novak Short Course race

Two weeks ago the 1st annual Short Course Race presented by Team Novak took place at West Coast Raceway. The race was strictly short course trucks and had an amazing 160 entries that comprised of 2wd and 4wd trucks. The OFNA and Jammin trucks once again dominated the 4wd Short Course class. In round 1 of qualifying in the Expert 4wd Short Course class Randy Kung set the TQ mark with the Hyper 10SC. Randy’s time held until round 3 when Chad Bradley driving the Jammin SCRT-10 set a time 4 seconds faster than Randy’s round 1 time. Chad’s time would hold giving him the overall TQ going into the main events on Sunday. After qualifying the top 3 spots were held by Chad Bradley driving the SCRT-10, Randy Kung with the Hyper 10SC and Brian Kinwald driving Jay Halsey’s SCRT-10.
