Horne & Legue win at Michigan State Champs

The annual Michigan State Championships were held at Dirtburner Racing in Livonia, Michigan recently. This race typically brings out a few heavy hitters and this year didn’t disappoint. In 2WD Mod Buggy it was Allen Horne with the TQ from Mike Legue in 2nd. 4WD Mod Buggy and 1/8th E-Buggy then saw Mike Legue taking the overall TQs over Ayden and Allen Horne. The 2WD Mod Buggy A-mains then saw Allen and Ayden Horne coming out on top as Mike Legue had to settle for 3rd overall as the grip had come up and he wasn’t able to push his car as desired.

Max Götzl sweeps Czech Open Rd3

The third round of 2019 Czech Open series took a place last weekend at the Horni Jeleni track. With rain on Friday morning the track grooved in nicely for the afternoon practice and was in a nice shape for the race on Saturday. Local hero, Max Götzl would take the double TQ in both Nitro and Electric Buggy with Tomas Kapicka taking 2nd in Nitro while Martin Vins rounded out the top 3. In E-Buggy it was Jiri Benes in 2nd and Michal Binder in 3rd.

Anastasios Paparegas wins at Greek 4WD Buggy Nats

The opening round of the Greek 1/10th 4WD Buggy Nationals was held at the North Park track in Thessaloniki. Xray’s Anastasios Paparegas set the pace all weekend long by taking the TQ, win and fastest lap, leaving behind his Xray teammates, Panagiotis Mpolimenis in 2nd and Ioannis Mpelesis in 3rd.

Jamie Clancy wins at SRS Championship Rd2

Round 2 of the SRS Championship was held in Kent, UK this past weekend. Team Associated’s Jamie Clancy would walk away with the win in the Nitro Buggy class from SWorkz driver Kevin Brunsden on the runner-up spot. Agama’s Jon Hazlewood rounded out the top 3 result.

NRW Cup Rd2 – Report

The second round of the NRW Cup was held at the MACH-One track in Helmond, The Netherlands this past weekend. The event was held in good weather conditions and attracted some of the regions’s fastest 1/8th off-road drivers. In the Nitro Top category Jarno Pijpers was the man to beat and after a nice battle with Jeffrey Halsema for the last ten laps of the half-hour long A-main final, he would eventually take the day’s win with Jeffrey coming on the 2 spot. Rene van Schaijk came in 3rd, already two laps down.

Spencer Heckert sweeps Spring Break Out

Shay’s RC Park in Burghill, Ohio held their Spring Break Out race this past weekend with nearly 90 entries for the 1/8th off-road and 1/10th 4×4 Mod SCT classes. In the premiere Nitro Buggy category it was HB Racing’s Spencer Heckert with the TQ and win from Paul Ciccarello (Xray) on the 2 spot, a lap behind. A further lap down after the 20-minute A-main event was Serpent’s Adam Johnson in 3rd.

Cyrille Baldini wins French E-Buggy Champs Rd3

The MARCV track in Vierzon, France played host to round 3 of the 1/8th E-Buggy Championship this past weekend. The overall TQ went to TLR’s Jerome Sartel, however after the A-mains it was Team Associated’s Cyrille Baldini with the overall win from Jerome on the 2 spot. Xray’s Jean-Pierrick Sartel would complete the top 3 podium result coming from 8th on the grid following a somewhat difficult qualifying.

Yusuke Sugiura successful at O.S. Off-Road Challenge

The KRC Off-Road Circuit in Tokushima, Japan hosted the O.S. Off-Road Challenge this past weekend with some of the country’s fastest nitro off-road racers in attendance. In the Pro Nitro Buggy class it was Mugen’s Yusuke Sugiura with he overall win from Kyosho’s Kazuya Tanaka in 2nd and Mugen’s Kenji Tsuruta in 3rd overall.
