In the 1/8 Electric Buggy qualifying Ryan Maifield would TQ two rounds to lock-up the overall TQ. The triple A-Mains for the 1/8 Electric Buggy class would be 10-Minutes each. JConcepts Summer INS – Final results

JConcepts Summer INS – Final results

The qualifying rounds during last weekend’s JConcepts Summer INS has been exciting and intense. Everyone was able to witness the true speed of one of the industry’s brightest stars, Spencer Rivkin, who has masterfully pulled off a perfect Saturday in qualifying winning every round and earning TQ in 4 of the Modified classes. Although, Sunday was a different story. With the last round of qualifying held in the morning, Rivkin’s perfect streak came to an end as his rivals were starting to figure things out on the high traction, full slick conditions. AE/JConcepts’ teammate Michael Schoettler, was able to derail the young Arizona Superstar by taking TQ in 2WD and 4WD in the final round. The momentum was shifting and everyone in the pits could sense the change as “The Rivkin Show” was now becoming a real battle for the title of Summer Indoor National Champion.

Joakim Niclassen takes Nordic Championships

Joakim Niclassen takes Nordic Championships

Last weekend the Nordic Championships took place at Hvervenbukta, Oslo. The very high bite and bumpy Astroturf track had a lot of elevation changes. Although some of the usual talented drivers were missing from Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, the competition did not disappoint. By the end of Friday’s practice, Team Associated’s Joakim Niclassen was comfortable with his buggies, and was confident going into the weekend. Once qualifying started, both the driver and his cars were working perfectly and TQ was soon followed by the win.

Team Associated releases Carson Wernimont

Team Associated releases Carson Wernimont

Team Associated have announced the release of Carson Wernimont. Newly signed by Team Associated for the 2015 season, Wernimont immediately put in consistent A-Main performances in both electric and nitro off-road while racing his new Team Associated vehicles. As the 2015 racing season unfolded, it became obvious that the relationship was not in alignment with the original goals, and a decision was made to terminate Carson’s contract instead of fostering an unhealthy relationship through the agreed upon contract term. Everyone at Team Associated wishes Carson the best of luck in his future endeavours.
