Dellinger & Henn win at RC Pro South Division Rd3

Dellinger & Henn win at RC Pro South Division Rd3

The 3rd and final round of the RC Pro South Division was hosted by Speedmonkey RC in Irving, Tx. In Pro E-Buggy, it was a combination of the usual three guys battling for TQ, Brian Henn, Jake Dellinger and David Joor and at the end of the day Dellinger would take the TQ and Joor 2nd in Pro E-Buggy while in Pro4, Henn had a rough first qualification round, still only missing TQ for that round by one second. Brian though easily won the other three rounds to take the overall TQ. As Sunday rolled around, everyone knew the chance of rain was high. Sure enough a few minutes after the drivers arrived to the track, it began to rain. There was a small break here and there, but not enough to be able to run. So the mains were cancelled and finishing positions were based off qualifying leaving Jake Dellinger and Brian Henn take the rained out win in Pro E-Buggy and Pro 4 respectively.

The ARC Raceway hosted round 4 of the JBRL Nitro Series with the event having over 150 entries. The track was hard packed, but as the day went on the surface became very rough which made line selection very important for the finals. TLR’s Adam Drake made a clean sweep in the 1/8th classes and took TQ in nitro buggy, nitro truck, and electric 1/8th scale. In the truck final, Drake charged away from the field in the beginning and was able to cruise the last half of the race to take the win followed by Cody King as he did in the electric buggy class were he was able to take the victory by a large margin. Cody King wins Pro Buggy at JBRL Nitro Rd4

Cody King wins Pro Buggy at JBRL Nitro Rd4

The JBRL Nitro Round 4 was held last weekend in Temecula, California at ARC Raceway. Cody King and Reds Racing new Team driver Cody Smith went 1st and 3rd in the buggy class. During the final, Cody King filled up with fuel at 10 1/2 minutes. It was not an easy race, because he had to fight with Adam Drake for the win. With about 5 minutes left in the 20 minute main Adam had a couple mistakes and allowed Cody to stretch out a bit. This would give him about a 6 second lead and he could cruise home to the win. Cody was really pumped on the fuel economy, as he was consistently well over 10 minutes on a tank, and with fuel to spare. This was at race pace with a lot of wheel spin and a lot of throttle input.
