Pro-Line sign Adam Drake

Pro-Line has made another big name signing with the announcement that Adam Drake will join their team. Tim Clark said “Pro-Line’s #1 core value is team 1st and that is why we are so thrilled to have TLR’s Adam Drake join forces with Team Pro-Line for 2012. Adams performance and professionalism on and off the track combined with a never give up attitude is well deserving of his overwhelming popularity amongst fellow racers and fans. Adam Drake added “I’m excited to have signed with Pro-Line Racing for 2012. Pro-Line is a world class manufacturer and has a wide range of tires for all scales of racing along with 11 IFMAR World Championships. Pro-Line sign WC Cody King

Pro-Line have made the announcement that they have signed current 1/8th offroad World Champion Cody King away from AKA. Tim Clark said “The Pro-Line Team is excited to announce current IFMAR World Champ Cody King on our team roster for 2012. Cody and his father, Paul King, refined their nitro racing skills as Pro-Line Team members during the peak of the Pro-Line Saturday Series and have since proven themselves as World Class competitors with many national caliber wins and a current IFMAR world title. We look forward to partnering with Cody for the defending of his IFMAR World Championship title.” Cody is “really excited to be working with Pro-Line for 2012. Pro-Line is a dedicated team of individuals and I expect great results using their products.

JJ Wang wins RCI offroad grand opening race

Shanghai’s premier indoor racing track RCI held its grand opening off-road race this past weekend in Shanghai. Over 50 drivers from all parts of China participated including China’s top off-road drivers. Team C sent a big team for the 2WD buggy, 4WD buggy and 2WD short course class. The new off-road track is adjacent to the on-road track which has facilities such as lobby lounge, pro-shop, pit area and vip rooms. Young talented on-road driver JJ Wang surprised the field by taking TQ and winning both the 2WD and 4WD class with Team C’s T2 long chassis version 2WD and T4 factory team kit 4WD. Team C would like to congratulate JJ on his very first EP off-road race and win.

Graham Alsop joins Bullitt engines

Bullitt engines have announced that long time top level racer Graham Alsop has joined their international team. Graham has been racing at the top level for years and after many with his previous engine sponsor, has decided that he needed a new power plant for 2012. After completing many hours of private testing, Graham was convinced the Bullitt B-218 was the engine him to take him forward.

Martin Bayer signs for Xray

Xray is proud to announce that Europe’s top off-road driver Martin Bayer is joining the Xray factory racing team. Martin Bayer is the European large-scale Champion as well as multiple European Championship finalist with podium finishes in the off-road category. Martin is a 5-time Czech National Champion and regular finalist at international races in the last few years. Martin will race the all-new XB9 starting in January 2012 and will participate at all major international races including the Neo12, all the main GP races, national race series, and of course the European and World Championship races.

JConcepts Indoor National Series

JConcepts, together with many fine sponsors and race tracks, have organized a first of its kind, a true Indoor National Series. The first annual series, held in 2011, attracted a combined 900 whopping entries. 2012 is scheduled as a 5 race series across the United States, drivers now have the opportunity to showcase their abilities on a national and regional level. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall nationals make up the seasonal events at fixed locations while the finals will serve as the end of the year bash for the awards and series championship. The series will be awarded based on points participation in 3 out of the 5 events.

Meyir Azulay wins Israeli League Rd3

This past weekend saw the 3rd round of the Israeli League for nitro 1/8 scale buggies held at Top-Drive racing club near Tel Aviv. Yaniv Sivan TQ’d the field with his Kyosho MP9 WC, however a problem with his car caused him to lose the lead and a few places. Race day was full of failures to everyone which caused strong drivers to find themselves in the B final. Some say that the B final was more challenging then the A due to a close race between Yaniv Sivan (TQ) and young talented driver Or Levy that did not give up and despite the close battle won the heat. In the A main it was Meyir Azulay that took the win with his Xray ahead of the Mugen pairing of Itai Atedgi and Dan Pric in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Adam Drake clean sweep at DNC Europe

The first ever “Dirt Nitro Challenge” in Europe was held last weekend at the amazing IBR Padova Indoor R/C Track. The race attracted around 100 drivers including some of the best European drivers such as Robert Batlle, Reno Savoya, Elliott Boots, Darren Bloomfield and USA’s Adam Drake. The total number of drivers was about 100. Novarossi was the main sponsor of the event and their drivers collected most of the awards. In truggy class it was Adam Drake who took the win in his Novarossi powered TLR 8ight T 2.0 followed by Reno Savoya in second and Walter Floris in third also running a TLR 8ight T 2.0.
