Cyril N'Daye wins Rd2 French EP Nats

While the rest of the top European racers were at the LRP Masters this weekend, the French drivers had to run the 2nd round of their National championships at the amazing permanent indoor track in Rumilly. Qualifying saw Xray driver Cyril N’Diaye take the top qualifying spot ahead of second placed Corally racer Jeremy Delalondre while in the race Cyril could carry his form through the main event and take the win ahead of 2nd placed fellow Xray racer Aurelien Threhout with 3rd place going to Jeremy Delalondre. Martin Lissau takes Rd1 of Ã–resundsCupen

Rd1 of Ã–resundsCupen

More news from Xray, this time they are reporting on the Ã–resundsCupen, which saw round one of this series, that includes four different races split between Sweden and Denmark, take place at the weekend in Staffanstorp, south Sweden. TQ for this event went to Xray NT1 driver Matin Lissau who was un challenged in Sundays main final with the main race battle taking place behind him for 2nd between Serpent driver Per Ola Hard and Xray driver Niklas Hakansson, with Per Ola eventually coming out on top to finish in 2nd position, with Hakansson in 3rd.

Race Announcement – UK Much More GP

The organisers of the UK Much More GP have asked us to put up an announcement for their event which will take place on the 8th – 10th of June at the Minerwall Park, Stonehaven in Scotland.

Held at the extremely fast outdoor circuit in the beautiful setting of Scotland, UK, the Much More UK GP has already attracted international entries and also the man himself our very own Euro and World champ, Andy Moore. The owners and team from Much More Korea are also attending. There will be a marquee, 240V power, hot food and restrooms on site and MUCH MORE!

Juho Levanen takes LRP Masters crown

Last weekend saw the last major indoor race of the year, the 2007 LRP Masters, run in Eppelheim, Germany with the event attracting a huge number of quality drivers from around the world meaning the racing was very close and very tough. The event was TQ’d by Associated / LRP driver Juho Levanen with Tamiya driver Victor Wilck in 2nd and Dutch Xray driver Jilles Groskamp in 3rd. The racing was close but Juho made it look easy and managed to win the first 2, of the 3, A-mains to take the overall title with the positions behind him left to be sorted. You Sedish driver Wilck claimed the runner up spot with a 2nd and a 1st position while 3rd position went to German National Champion Ronald Volker driving his LRP powered HB Cyclone.

Alberto Picco wins Swiss EFRA GP

Italian Mugen racer Alberto Picco has won this weekends Swiss GP held at the huge Lostallo track. Having qualified in 4th position, Picco managed to win the 45 minute final by 1 lap ahead of German Kyosho driver Stefan Hanauer who, at the end of the final, was only 2 seconds ahead of fellow German driver Robert Pietsch racing the ever improving Shepherd Velox. The main final saw only 3 retirements, that of pole man Danielle Ielasi, Michael Salven and Francesco Tironi.

Ielasi heads qualifying at Swiss GP

Lostallo track

This weekend sees the Swiss GP take place at the ultra fast and very large Lostallo track. This race is seen as a warm up for this years Euro A championships that take place this summer on the same track and so this event has attracted a lot of top names to the event to help fine tune their cars for this event. Qualifying took place today and it was Kyosho racer Danielle Ielasi that holds the top spot with another Kyosho racer Francesco Tironi in 2nd. Michael Salven, racing for Serpent, is next up in 3rd while Mugen racer Alberto Picco ends the day in 4th, the top 7 drivers covered by only 3 seconds.

Ciccarello & D’Agnolo win the 2007 Canadian Challenge

Ciccarello & D'Agnolo win Canadian Challenge

Calandra Racing Concepts are reporting on their site about their teams latest wins at the 2007 Canadian Challenge race. Paul Ciccarello, who reecntly won the Fastcats race in January, showed great pace once more to take the 19T race win, driving his CRC Carpet Knife Gen-X. In the stock class it was oval specialist Pete D’Agnolo that took the Stock class TQ and race win, proving that he is pretty quick on road courses too.

Hubert Honigl wins Rd1 Austrian Nats

Xray are reporting on their site from the first round of the Austrian nationals held last weekend at MRC Eruhwirth. The event catered for both the expert and sport class with the expert class being dominated by NT1 driver Manuel Huber until a problem dropped him back to 2nd gifting Mugen driver Hubert Honigl the win, with Serpent driver Christian Scheidl in 3rd. In the sport class it was NT1 racer Martin Pittner that took the win ahead of Harald Hofer and Julian Schober in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
