Nagashima, Huang & Shum to attend OneTen Shanghai

OneTen Series organisers are excited to announce more big names for the 5th and 6th round of this season which takes place in Shanghai on the 4th and 5th of January. Having previously announced Marc Rheinard and JJ Wang, we can confirm that Serpent racer Yugo Nagashima, who made his series debut at Rd3 & 4 in Guangzhou, will return to RCI V2, the scene of his popular AOC win back in April. National Champion, and recent winner of the SIGP Nitro class, Gary Huang will be aiming to continue his recent run of good results with the Chinese driver hoping to benefit from being joined at this event by Xray team mate Wang. Making the trip from Hong Kong, showing a recent improvement in form, Jackie Shum will boost the Yokomo team’s chances against the best in the OneTen series, which for this weekend will run alongside the exciting new SGP1 Formula series. Jackie Shum takes Team Powers Cup Mod TC title

The final round of the 2019 Team Powers Cup was held at the PYC track in Hong Kong this past weekend. In the Touring Modified class it was Destiny Racing/Muchmore’s Patrick Poon with the overall TQ, however after the triple A-mains it was Yokomo/LRP’s Jackie Shum with the win and also the overall title as Patrick had to settle on the runner-up spot following some mishaps in A2 and A3. Yokomo/Team Powers’ Fong King came in 3rd overall at round 4, allowing him to take the overall runner-up spot in the series.

Völker, N’diaye & Libar win at Longwy Winter Series Rd2

Round 2 of the Longwy Winter Series was held this past weekend in Longwy, France with the event attracting over 110 entries for the six classes of Touring Modified, Touring Stock Expert, Touring 17.5T, FWD, Formula and Rookie. Touring Modified was led by Yokomo’s Ronald Völker who brought home the overall TQ and also the win in all three A-main events, leaving behind the Awesomatix duo of Lucas Urbain and Tim Wahl in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Vesa Yli TQs & wins at 12Track Tour opener

The opening round of the Finnish 12Track Tour was held this past weekend in 1/12th and 1/10th scale classes. In the C12 1/12th scale Modified category it was Vesa Yli with the overall TQ and he also brought home the win in all three A-mains events, leaving behind Panu Vehniäinen and Sami Munck in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The GT12 13.5T Stock class saw Miikka Luhta with a clean sweep of TQ and overall win from Eemeli Anttonen and Juha-Matti Heikkala. Finally in the supporting TSS10 class it was Ville Aalto with the TQ, however it was Jaakko Huhmarsalo with the win in all three A-mains as Ville Aalto and Verneri Valtanen came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Andrea Tonini doubles at Xpress Cup 2K19

The Xpress Cup 2K19 was hosted by MCM RC in Italy this past weekend. In the Touring FWD class it was Andrea Tonini with the overall TQ after the qualifiers and he would also bring home the win after the triple A-main events, leaving behind Alex Caminati in 2nd from Silvano Zanoni in 3rd. The popular GT 21.5T EFRA class saw again Andrea Tonini leading the way in the qualifiers and also the finals as Carlo Mastursi and Alex Caminati came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Xray Racing Series Slovenia Rd2 – Report

Round 2 of the Xray Racing Series Slovenia was held at the Genius Ring recently and in 13.5T Touring it was a fight between round 1 winner Nejc Mihelic and Italy’s Mattia Collavo. In the end Nejc managed to stay on top for another TQ while in the 21.5T Formula class it was Herfried Pucher who took the TQ without any problems, since main rival Matej Dobnikar could not attend this round.

Volker & Donath win at EWS International

The 2019 edition of the EWS International took place last weekend. Ronald Volker initially set the pace during qualifying in the Modified class, and then on Sunday morning made it a clean sweep by topping all four rounds with his development Yokomo chassis. Behind him, long time Marc Rheinard secured second on the grid for Infinity, the German also running a prototype car as Infinity continue to test their upcoming IF14-II. Lucas Urbain was the big mover on Sunday morning, with third place in Q4 moving the Frenchman up to third on the A Final grid. Yannic Prumper and Christopher Krapp rounded out the overall top five, with the Xray trio of Alexander Hagberg, Bruno Coelho and Elliott Harper not able to replicate the pace they had shown throughout practice and having to start the finals from deep in the field. The A Final line up was completed by former event champion Kyle Branson, and Awesomatix’s Loic Jasmin. Alex Thurston was the unlucky BQ driver, missing out on the final place on a tie-break with Loic by three-tenths of a second.

Mario Spiniello wins at Antonio Calce Memorial race

The second Antonio Calce Memorial race was held at the TQR track in Teverola, Italy. In the 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring class Mario Spiniello set the pace from the get go and he also took the overall TQ after the qualifiers. In the A-main Mario would lead from tone to tone despite having two additional pit stops for refuelling. Behind him it was Esposito Lauri Biaqio in 2nd and De Simon Giuseppe completed the top 3 podium results.
