Tomas Liptak wins at Austrian IC Track Nats Rd4

Round 4 of the Austrian IC Track Nationals was held at the MORAC track in Graz recently. In the 1/8th IC Track class it was Branislav Panak with the overall TQ, from Tamas Sagi 2nd and Bjan Miklozic in 3rd position. Tomas Liptak would round out the top 4 after the qualifiers. Later Branislav had to take a ten minutes timeout because of some problems with his car so he started from the back of the grid in the opening 20-minute A-main event. The win would went to Tomas after a clean run with Tamas Sagi 2nd and Branislav Panak 3rd. The second of the dual A-mains saw Tomas taking the lead some three laps onto the race and from there he never looked back to take the win with Branislav in 2nd and Tamas in 3rd place. Overall it was Tomas with the win from Tamas 2nd and Branislav in 3rd place.

KARS On-Road Championship – Report

The KARS On-Road Championship was recently held at the Icheon track in Korea with about 50 drivers in attendance. The 1/8th nitro main final was a close affair between Germany’s Andreas Giesa, 3-times Korean champion Kiyong Hong and Jaekook Yoo with the top 3 finishing within one lap. After 40 minutes Andreas saw the checkered in first position about five seconds in front of Kiyong. Jaekook completed the podium another two seconds down.

2019/20 XRS PLMS Poland – Announcement

Xray have announced the XRS PLMS Poland series for the 2019/20 indoor season. Kicking off on the 12th of October and having their final round on the 21rd of March, the series will be held in Touring Modified, Touring 13.5T Stock as well as Formula 21.5T classes using Hudy tyres, additives and also XRS motors for the Stock classes. 2019 BRCA GT12 Nationals Rd1 & Rd2 – Report

The opening round of the 2019/20 BRCA GT12 national championship was held in the south of England where the ever fantastic Eastbourne club played host to the great start of the new series. Round 1 would be held on Saturday and it was Schumacher’s Andy Murray with the overall TQ from his teammates Mark Jewitt and Nathanael Goodban, all running the new Schumacher Atom 2 car.

2019 EWS International – Announcement

The Essex Winter Series team announce the details of their 2019 EWS International event. The event will take place over the weekend of the 6th to 8th of December 2019, at their indoor facility in the South-East of the UK, just outside London. Following the success of the event in previous years, the format will remain largely the same, with classes for Modified and Super Stock 13.5 Blinky Touring, using Volante tyres, and this year a Front Wheel Drive class, with hand-out 17.5T motors and ETS-spec Ride tyres. To highlight the quality of the event, many drivers from across Europe have already confirmed they will return to the race, including Yannic Prumper, Ronald Volker, Max Machler, Christian Donath, Christopher Krapp, and more. Entries are limited to 140 to allow for a reasonable finish time each day, and are now open. Full rules and a link to the entry page can be found on the EWS website here. Paolo Morganti wins at FNS season opener

Last weekend’s opening round of the Florida Nitro Series held at the Homestead RC Raceway in Homestead, Florida saw IGT8’s Paolo Morganti taking the win in the 30-minute 1/8th GT A-main event. Top qualifier Paolo left behind Avery Pierce (IGT8) in 2nd, two laps down as PJ Dietz (Serpent) came in 3rd, another three laps down.

Marko Grigic wins IFMAR Large Scale World Championship

The 2019 IFMAR Large Scale World Championship was held in Villa Real, Portugal last week. The organising club AMVR ensured perfect conditions for the 85 pilots that gathered from 19 countries. The TQ went to Markus Feldmann with the Superpole being won by Alessio Mazzeo. The A-main final saw a lot of position changes in the first half of the race, however it was Marko Grigic who opted for a very late pit stop in the first half and from there he never looked back to take the win after the 60-minute race, becoming the first Croatian IFMAR World Champion. Alessio Mazzeo came in 2nd, some ten seconds behind as Marko Weigerding rounded out the top 3 a lap down.

Wahl, Lauter & Stocker win at Pegasus Masters

The city of Piding in the southern part of Germany played host to the 9th RT Pegasus Masters last weekend. The event was held in several electric on-road classes including Touring Modified, Stock and FWD classes. In Touring Modified it was Tim Wahl with the overall TQ after a nearly clean sweep in the qualifiers, winning four of the five qualifiers, leaving behind Q3 top qualifier Marco Kaufmann in 2nd. The finals then saw another dominant performance of Tim who left behind Simon Lauter in 2nd as Marco Kaufmann ended in 3rd overall.
