Patrick Folman takes Danish Modified TC title

Patrick Folman takes Danish Modified TC title

The final round of the Danish National Electric Touring Car series was held at the Odense R/C Minirace track. Saturday was devoted to practice and everybody was trying to find a setup for a track that started out dusty with low grip, but ended up with medium grip. Much focus was on the Modified class and before the final round several drivers had changed sponsors, teams and cars. This was going to be the first race for Patrick Folman, now driving for Schumacher with the Mi5Evo, Frederik Hovgaard with his new Danish-developed Gizmo touring car, and Gustav Pind driving the Yokomo BD7. During Saturday’s practice Frederik Hovgaard demonstrated some really fast lap times with his Gizmo while the developers of the car were at the track to support Frederik. Only Patrick Folman could match the pace and behind the two Frederik Broløs Mikkelsen and Gustav Pind were working hard to catch up. Further down the field Stefan Finnich (Xray), Lars Holm (Yokomo) and Anders Dyrlund (TOP) were also in the mix.

Simon Kurzbuch has claimed another victory this year by winning at the 5th round of the Swiss 1/8th Nitro On-road Nationals. In a perfect race he never looked back and crossed the finishing line 3 laps in front of Mattia Pesenti with Christophe Pethoud completing the podium another lap down. With this result Simon is in a comfortable lead in the championship ranking and he has the best chances to claim the national title at the final round held in Lostallo.

Christian Lehm takes Danish Formula title

Christian Lehm takes Danish Formula title

The final round of the Danish Formula Championship was held at the Odense track. Originally designed for large scale cars the track proved to be pretty big for the small 1/10th scale cars and the layout made for high speeds and a lot of slipstream racing. The race also attracted some racers from abroad and so racing was tight and at the end Christian Lehm (Xray) was able to grab the TQ, the day’s win and the overall title. Johnni Lyng came in second while Henrik Rasmussen rounded out the all-Xray podium in third.
