Speed King Tour Rd4 – Report

The fourth round of the Speed King Tour 2015 was hosted by the Green Park Speedway in the Saitama prefecture last weekend. The track is a high-speed affair that is usually used for 1/8th races so the speeds achieved in the Modified class were pretty high. Series leader Akio Sobue again showed a brilliant form after scoring three wins in the series this year and he went on to take the TQ in this fourth round. Unfortunately only two qualifying rounds would be completed due to sudden and heavy rain fall but with the help of all competitors the track could be dried in time for the mains.

Other notables that made the trip was everyone’s favorite Canadian and Team Associated’s on-road ace, Keven Hebert. Former world champion, Ralph Burch for RC America/Xray was also on hand to battle in the 1/10th scale nitro sedan class.
