Muhammad Izzah wins 13.5T at SIS Challenge Rd1

The 1st round of the indonesian SIS Challenge 2014 was held at the SOS track in Jakarta, Indonesia with a total of 40 entries in the 13.5T Stock and FWD class. The best out of 3 qualifying rounds was used to determine the starting grid and it was Ronny Suwarto (Xray) who took TQ in front of Bowie Ginting (Xray) and Muhammad Izzah. In the opening 13.5T A-final, Bowie took the lead followed by Izzah in 2nd as Ronny had a bad start. Izzah was able to pass Bowie and win the 1st leg, followed by Ronny and Bowie. Izzah then also went on to win the 2nd final as Ronny made a mistake in the last minute while defending his lead. In the 3rd final, it was Bowie who took the win in front of Danny and Izzah. In the overall result Muhammad Izzah came in first followed by Bowie Ginting and Ronny Suwarto, who where tie on points, making it an all-Xray podium. Danny Izawahyudi and Faiza completed the top 5 result.

Marek Cerny doubles at Czech Championship

The Czech electric on-road championships where held in the small Moravian town of Jedovnice last weekend. The race was run in Touring Car Open and Stock, GT, Hobby and a Formula class on quite a fast track with a lot of straights and a medium grip level. Ride ETS tyres where used in the Open class while Stock was run on LRP rubber. After a full day of practice on Friday the race started on Saturday with 5 rounds of qualifying with the best 3 to count.

Daniele Ielasi joins RB factory team

RB announce the latest signing to their factory team in the form of former World, European and multiple Italian champion Daniele Ielasi. Daniele will use the company’s .12 and .21 engines in his 2014 on-road campaign that will include the 1/8th and 1/10th scale Italian championships, the Euro Nitro Series, the 1/8th Euros and the 1/8th SuperGT Euros.

Helge Johannessen wins 1:12th at Norwegian series Rd5

The final round of the Norwegian electric on-road series was held in Gjøvik with a good turnout as it was the last race of the season. The race format saw three rounds of qualifying with the best to count, followed by triple A-mains. In qualifying Helge Johannessen set the TQ time in the second round while Lars Haugen and Øyvind Stusdal were to decide who would start second on the grid for the finals in the last remaining qualifier. Both started off following each other closely and changed positions multiple times and at one point Øyvind had a incident with a slower car and would later have to retire handing Lars the 2nd spot on the grid thanks to a secure run.

The first King Of The Track race 2014 took place at the RC On Road Track in Thessaloniki, Greece. Serpent’s Christodoulos Karasavvidis brought home the win with his Serpent 747 in front of Dimitris Nisiotis (Mugen) and Makis Charitidis (Edam).

The opening round of the French electric on-road nationals took place at the MRC Longwy track. The Touring Car Stock class had Walter Pollet-Villard taking the win from Pierre Delorme while Valentin Lehmann completed the podium in 3rd position.

Ryan Maker wins at Victoria State Titles

Ryan Maker wins at Victoria State Titles

Last weekend the Victoria State Titles took place at the Adrenalin Arena, host of round 2 of this year’s AOC Champsionship. The indoor asphalt facility was well prepared and the Touring Car Modified field was tightly contested with some of Australia’s best drivers in attendance. VBC’s Ryan Maker made a clean sweep in qualifying taking TQ by winning 6 out of the 6 qualifiers. Behind him Kyosho’s Simon Nicholson and Awesomatix driver Tom De Nardis battled for the 2nd spot with the better end for Simon. In the triple A-mains Ryan again was the man to beat and he took an early overall win by coming in 1st in the first two mains. Sitting out A3 Ryan made way for Simon whose win handed him the runner-up spot while Tom had to settle for third despite scoring two 2nd place finishes.

Mibosport Cup 2013/14 - Season review

The Yokomo-backed Mibosport Cup 2013/14, which was sponsored by Pelikan Daniel, Trivox Patrik Dworschak and Yokomo, finished last weekend. The series saw six 1-day events with a total of 299 drivers from 6 European countries competing in two off-road and four on-road classes. The 2WD Buggy and 4WD Buggy classes had 62 entries each which makes overall 124 drivers attending in the off-road category. A total of 175 different drivers attended the on-road class with 51 drivers in Touring Car Modified, 79 in Stock LRP, 29 in Formula and 16 in the Yokomo GT class. The four best results counted towards the championship. The maximum number of points from a weekend would be 102 points including 100 points for a win, a point for TQ and a point for the fastest lap which makes 408 points overall. David Nemček (Stock LRP) and Ladislav Mlčák (Yokomo GT) both took the overall victory for scoring the most points in the season making it 407 points for David as well as for Ladislav.
