Michal Abrahamek doubles at Czech Championships

The final round of the Czech nitro on-road championships took place 60km away from Brno. The race saw a huge attendance of driver as everyone was keen to score the final championship points. 1/10th qualifying saw Jirka Vyšín taking the TQ honours followed by Michal Abrahamek who later won the final after some great battles with Jirka Vyšín and Michal Jansa. The win handed Michal the overall championship title in front of his Xray team mates Jirka Vyšín and Ondřej Kulhánek. Beside the 200mm title also the 1/8th championship went to Michal making it a perfect double.

2013/14 Mibosport Cup Rd1 – Report

The first out of seven races of the 2013/14 Mibosport Cup attracted over 130 drivers from six countries including some of the World’s top drivers such as Ronald Völker, Marc Rheinard, Marc Fischer and Zdenko Kunák. The race was held in a variety of electric classes such as 2WD and 4WD buggy, Formula, Yokomo GT, Stock LRP and Modified TC. In the Touring Car Modified class all qualifiers and finals went to Yokomo team driver Ronald Völker. Second overall became Marc Fischer (Serpent) in front of Marc Rheinard (Tamiya). A great battle was on for fourth place between Zdenko Kunak and Rene Klockner with the better end for Zdenko.

Hobbywing Asia Open 2013 – Announcement

The Hobbywing Asia Open 2013 will be held on December 14th and 15th in Guangzhou, China. The event will be run in Modified and Stock Boosted 13.5T classes and will see the attendance of the three former Touring Car World Champions Atsushi Hara, Andy Moore and Surikarn C. Steve Soon wins TC Stock at WCICS Rd2

The second round of the Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series was held in the Capital city of Edmonton, Alberta. A record turnout for this race was just the beginning, and the entire weekend was a huge success. Racers from across Western Canada battled it out in 7 different classes. In the Team Great Hobbies sponsored Touring Car Stock class, after 4 rounds of qualifying, Steve Soon (Serpent) set TQ ahead of Austin Hauch (Xray). Steve kept it fast and clean and in a similar Vettel style performance, claimed pole, fastest lap and win. Ryan Rice (Xray) moved up to second, and Austin held on for 3rd. It was a great weekend, and a big thanks to NASCAR, and all the class sponsors: Great Hobbies, Awesomatix, Novak, Orca, Orion, UPS & Best Western Hotels. Fernando Gordinho doubles at Carpet Duel Challenge

This past weekend One Lug Raceway located in Albertville Alabama hosted its second annual Carpet Duel Challenge. Drivers from all over the South East United States attended this Duel. The biggest class by far was the ever growing Spec 17.5 TC class. Setting the early TQ in round 1 was Team USA ARC/Viper driver Fernando Gordinho. Fernando not only managed to TQ every round of qualifying in both TC and 1/12 but continued to drive his Trinity/Viper powered vehicles to both A-main podiums in both classes.

Craig Xavier wins World GT at IIC

SpeedMerchant driver Craig Xavier TQ’d and won the Wold GT class at the 2013 Las Vegas International Indoor Championships. After taking pole position Craig went on to win the World GT A-Main wire to wire while lapping the field all the way up to 3rd place. Craig was joined in the A-Main by team mate Dave Berger who finished 6th with his Protoform Gianna GT clad SpeedMerchant World GT 3hree.

Muchmore joins ETS as official electronic supplier

With 10-days remaining until to the opening round of Season #7 of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in the Czech Republic, the organisers are excited to announce Muchmore as their new electronics partner for the Xray Pro Stock class. The biggest of the three classes on the ETS program, 383 drivers having registered points in the 13.5T Touring Car class last season, the deal with Muchmore will see racers use a handout FLETA EURO ESC in combination with the FLETA ZX 13.5T motor which will also be laser engraved with the ETS logo and unique serial number.

Danni Eyde-Nielsen wins at DRCMU race

Last weekend saw the first round of the PileCup and DRCMU championship series at the indoor track in Broendby, just outside of Copenhagen. 50 drivers attended the race and had a fantastic weekend, with a lot of close racing, good food, big trophies and good fun. In the SuperStock class there was a comeback for Danni Eyde-Nielsen, who had been on “maternity leave” for some years, but he is now back together with his mentor Soeren Boy Holst in the T.O.P. racing team. The class was packed with good drivers, and it was obvious to see after practice that the fight for the 8 A-final places would be really tough.
