Novotny takes triple podium victory at Lestr Cup Rd3

The 4th round of this Winter’s Lestr Cup in the Czech Republic Kaja Novotny once again showed his multi-class winning capabilities. Competing in 2WD Buggy, 4WD Buggy and Short Course categories, Kaja powered to a solid TQ in all classes, winning the pole position in each qualifier. The Czech Team Durango star then dominated all three A-main finals to be crowned triple Lestr fourth round Champion, posting the event’s fastest laps during the process.

JConcepts '15 Indoor National Series – Announcement

JConcepts announce the 2015 season of the Indoor National Series, a 5 race off-road series across the United States. The first four years combined attracted over 4000 entries and this year drivers have the opportunity to showcase their abilities on a national and regional level. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall nationals make up the seasonal events at fixed locations while the finals will serve as the end of the year bash for the awards and series championship. The series will be awarded based on points participation in three out of the five events. JConcepts wants to make the 2015 Indoor National Series one to remember. With a heavier marketing push to provide the best turnout possible for the host track, JConcepts has teamed up with Red RC as a media partner to professionally cover select events during the 2015 season. JConcept are looking to make 2015 a breakout year in terms of series participation, factory drivers, representatives and professionalism. All events will be awarded separately and collectively so those worried about a commitment will be recognized for performance regardless of series participation. City destinations, track facilities and competition level have all been weighed and evaluated ahead of time so rest assured the experience and atmosphere is worthy, now it’s up to you. Tenshock SC211 2WD short course brushless motor

Tenshock have a dedicated 2WD short course brushless short course motor available, the SC211. Being of a 4-pole design the sensored motor is housed in a CNC-machined aluminium case with heatsink ribbing and powerful sintered magnets. Sturdy, gold-plated solder tabs make for a reliable connection of the motor and speed controller. The motor weighs in at 166g, it is available in six different Kv ratings of 3300, 3500, 3800, 4400, 4800 and 5200 and included are 12 gauge wires, a sensor cable and a decal sheet.

Losi Ten SCTE Troy Lee Designs RTR

Horizon Hobby introduce the Ten SCTE Troy Lee Designs RTR 4WD short course truck. Based on the 2013 and 2014 ROAR Nationals winning vehicle the kit offers a factory assembled 4WD shaft-driven chassis, sturdy suspension components and full RTR specifications with a 3900kv Dynamite 540-size 4-pole brushless motor, a 130A LiPo-compatible and waterproof Dynamite speed controller, a Spektrum DX2E 2.4GHz radio set and waterproof Spektrum steering servo and electronics. The truck comes including a pre-painted bodyshell rocking the TLD logo and graphics, black and orange beadlock design wheels and grippy racing tyres.

5th Annual January Jam – Report

The fifth Annual January Jam Race was held at the Fabulous Flowood R/C Indoor Park this past weekend with 285 entries running 13 classes. While Cole Ogden came out successful in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class it was Tekno’s Ryan Lutz who swept the 1/8th Nitro Truggy, 1/8th Electric Buggy and 1/8th Electric Truggy classes. In the progress he also came out on top of the field in 1/10th 4WD SCT. Behind Lutz (Tekno) Cole Ogden (TLR) and Chandler Elliot (TLR) rounded out the podium in the 1/8th Truggy class. The Mugen duo of Marc Beck Robbie Darby (Mugen) completed the top 5 result.

A special inner cell structure of the 100C packs boosts the performance, making the batteries ideal for both Stock and Modified classes. The B series 7.4V batteries are available as a 5800mAh standard, 4800mAh shorty and 3500mAh low-profile variant with the with the standard and standard height shorty pack offering a unique 5mm and 4mm connector tube configuration to offer reverse polarity protection. As a bonus the first batch of the batteries will include suitable bullet-type connectors.

Jörn Neumann dominates Petit RC Race Barcelona

The 10th edition of the Petit RC Race was held this past weekend at the RBR36 Arena in Barcelona, Spain, a new indoor facility built and owned by 1/8th Buggy World Champion Robert Batlle. As usual the race attracted some of Europe’s fastest drivers, this time including Jörn Neumann, Migual Matias and of course Robert Battle. The 2WD Buggy and Short Course classes, run on Saturday, saw Jörn Neumann and Robert Batlle leading the proceedings. Jörn took the overall TQ from Dani Batlle while Robert Batlle rounded out the top 3 result. In the Short Course class, that was run in a “finals only” mode, Robert was the man to beat on his home track as he won all but one final legs to take the win from Uri Valde and Vicente Moyano.
