Castle Creations 1/10 Sidewinder SCT System

New from Castle Creations is this 1/10 Sidewinder SCT System. Featuring a ROAR SCT legal 3600kV Castle 1410 Y brushless motor with four magnets on the rotor giving a 20% increase in torque over most other motors in this class with only two magnets, perfect for 2WD & 4WD 1/10 scale short course trucks. The Sidewinder SCT electronic speed control features proportional brake, reverse with lockout and programmable low voltage cutoff with with Auto LiPo Detect set as default. Motor and ESC are wired together-no connectors needed.

Durango DESC410R SCT – First images

Having teased their new short course truck a while back, Durango have released the first official images of the DESC410R. Central weight distribution and low centre of gravity, even more important with the high bodies of SC trucks, it features a super stiff chassis assembly, big bore shocks, captive CVD’s, optimised gear ratio, 550 motor compatible. Expect it to hit the shops mid December.

New from HPI, this aluminium front suspension arm brace replaces the stock plastic/pressed aluminium front arm brace assembly on the Blitz and Firestorm trucks. It’s a heavy-duty part that is machined from billet aluminium to exact HPI factory dimensions for a perfect fit, and anodized to match other Blitz option parts.

Expanded their line of Trindad Short course wheels, DE Racing have released versions for the Associated SC10. Manufactured in the USA from the finest possible materials and utilizing an advanced ribbing design, these wheels offer strength and durability while still remaining lightweight. Short Course Carnage – Announcement

A1 Racing club in Gonerby Moor in Lincolnshire are running their Short Course Carnage event on Sunday the 26th of September. This fun event is open to electric 1/10th scale SC trucks only and the race format will consist of 4 or 5 rounds of qualifying followed by 2 leg finals. The race will be run on a shortened version of their 1/8th Astroturf nitro track, with a lap length of 180m, including table tops, double jumps and multi-surface sections. STRC Slash 2WD LCG conversion kit

ST Racing Concepts have released their LCG (low centre of gravity) conversion kit for the Traxxas Slash 2WD Short Course truck. This simple, yet economical and easy to bolt on conversion utilizes the existing Traxxas Rustler chassis components and delivers a huge on track performance improvement over the stock configuration Slash. All components have been CNC machined from high-grade aluminium and all necessary hardware is included for installation. Track testing has shown that this kit allows for a 1-1.5 seconds per lap drop in lap times and allowed the Slash to be right in the mix with today’s stadium truck based short course trucks. Available in blue, gun metal, red and silver.
