Pro-Line Silverado, 14RS & more

Judging by their January releases Pro-Line have been busy with a whole host of new bodies, tires and wheels being announced. Starting with the new Chevy Silverado Short course truck body, perfect for Chevy race fans to deck out their Slash or SC10 chassis’. Also for the same SC cars, is this 14RS shell, which resembles more a Dakar style race truck than your traditional Short course race truck. Both bodies are sold clear and supplied with window mask and decal sheets. Bringing colour to your racing, PL now offer their range of Split six wheels in 2 additional colours, white and yellow, in addition to the already available black versions.

STRC OFNA Hyper 10SC SC options

New for the OFNA Hyper 10SC 4×4 short course truck, ST Racing Concepts have new line of option parts is ready to take your truck to a whole new level of performance, durability and great looks. Starting with the CNC machined aluminium heavy duty 5mm front and rear shock tower that replaces the stock 3mm shock tower and greatly reduces flex and keep the shock towers from bending due to hard impact. Next up is the aluminium front steering upper plate and front chassis “H” brace which reduces the flex and increase the strength of the front end. The upper plate tightens up the steering and provide much stronger support for the upper arm mount, while the “H” brace further increase the strength of the front of your Hyper 10SC against hard impacts.

HPI Blitz with ATTK-10 body

HPI’s Blitz Short-Course trucks are now available with ATTK-10 bodies, splashed with ‘Art Series’ paint and graphics. Edgy artwork that gives the Blitz the ‘2K10′ look, there’s a sinister black/grey version and a crisp black/white version (above) as well, check the end panel of the new Art Series box to see which is inside. Under the body lurks the popular Blitz chassis which is pre-built, ready-to-run goodness that has taken the Short-Course truck segment to new heights.

JConcepts Illuzion Manta SC body shell

JConcepts have released a sneak preview of their new Illuzion Manta short course body shell. Designed to fit the Slash, Slash 4×4 and SC10, the shell has been inspired from the ground up to turn these short course trucks into high performance machines. Its features include a scale inspired body, cab and window design, aggressive headlight and grill treatment with racing influence, front and rear fender flares for maximum clearance and an extended cab with recessed windows.

Short Course RC Truck Champs – Announcement

The Dirt’s Joey Christensen has been in touch to announce the Short Course RC Truck Championship that will take place at the Milestone RC Track on the 30th of January. The event is open to Sportsman spec, Intermediate and Expert short course classes as well as Unlimited 4wd Short course and SC8. Practice is from 10am to 1pm with the racing starting at 2pm sharp, with Championship trophies awarded to all class winners. Team Orion have released a new line of LiPo batteries for both the Traxxas 1/10 E-Revo and 1/16th E-Revo. Developed with a special hard case form to be able to put a maximum of capacity into the battery compartment, this carbon look design enables you to fit your truck with the company’s carbon molecular LiPo technology with up to 45C of discharge and 3C charge for the 1/10th packs and 35C of discharge and 3C charge for the 1/16th packs. Supplied with 3 different battery skins, the packs are available in multiple capacities and discharge ratings.

Venom Slash VXL & E-Revo Options

Venom have released a massive number of new optional parts for the Traxxas Slash VXL and E-Revo. Most parts have been CNC machined from high grade aluminium and almost all are available in anodised orange, gun metal and grey and help improve strength in the area where they are used. Parts that are available include front steering knuckles, front lower arms, front c-hubs, rear lower arms, steering set, battery holder, rear universal shafts, rear shock towers, front bulkheads, gear cover, rear gearbox, rear knuckles, wheels, shock caps, front & rear shocks, wheel hex adapters, tie rods, push rods, front & rear suspension mounts, servo saver and titanium pivot balls.

Kyosho Ultima SC video

Just released over a month ago, Kyosho’s new entry into the increasingly competitive short course market, the Ultima SC is based on the race winning Ultima RT5 chassis. This is a race bred machine and serious competitor to the previous entries into the market and you can now check it out in full with Kyosho America’s new promotional video which outlines the car’s features as well as show it in action on the track.
