Carrying over design and material selection from their HPI Blitz and Associated SC10 universal kits, STRC’s Slash 2wd universal kits feature large diameter universal driveshaft bone for more durability against the power of today’s LiPo battery/Brushless motor combo, the heavier weight of short course truck and larger diameter of short course truck tires. They also used the same carbon steel material for axles, which features two sets of universal pin holes so you can get twice the life out of the same set of axles. The universal joints and joint pins are of carbon steel material as well and the pins features a “step” for the setscrew to have a flat spot to more securely hold the universal driveshafts together. Lastly, even the universal shaft roll pin at the end was not over looked. Carbon steel at the pin although strong will unfortunately add excessive wear to the diff outdrives, thus a different material was selected just for the shaft pin for durability and ease of wear on the diff outdrives.

ST Racing Concepts have turned their attentions to the Losi XXX-SCT truck and as with the other cars they make parts for they tried to not just add durability with their aluminium parts but also tried to build in performance advantages and innovation to each part as well. Especially with the XXX-SCT, they understand that this is not going to be a basher for most, but more of a race vehicle, so their new line of products were built with that in mind.

More new products from ST Racing Concepts with the release of these heat treated carbon steel universal driveshaft sets for the Associated SC10/T4, HPI Blitz and Universal Bones for OFNA Hyper 10SC. Universal driveshafts are typically an important and often the first upgrade for many racers and bashers, but for years manufactures have left their design and material of universal driveshafts to be relatively the same despite the the change to the more powerful LiPo battery/brushless combination. STRC inspected all components of the traditional universals driveshaft and aimed to improve in material and design. The material is critical and equally important is the heat treatment process. STRC’s new CNC machined HD front and rear bumper/skid plates for the HPI Blitz range of cars helps add great looks and increases durability. The skid plates are machined from a solid block of aluminium and can handle any abuse from racing to bashing, while still allowing the front and rear bumper to flex. Available in orange, gun metal, silver and limited edition red anodizing. While the HPI Blitz comes with cast aluminum hex adapters, feedback from customers was that they can crack under heavy load or over-tightening of the set-screw. These new CNC machined aluminium hex adapters offers more durability while adding that final touch to the looks of your Blitz, matching the colors of their existing option parts for this truck.
New from STRC for the Kyosho Ultima range of products, including the SC, SC-R, DB, RB5 & RT5, is this complete range of optional products. First up are these CNC Machined aluminium front braces, that will solve the front suspension brace problem on your Kyosho off-road vehicles. The stock brace is held in by the bumper and constantly moves around and can come loose if the front bumper bends or breaks. This front brace incorporates O-rings where the hinge-pins pass through, thus providing a snug fit on the hinge-pins and is less likely to come loose. Next up are aluminium bulkheads that carry the same adjustability of 25 or 30 deg. front kick-up as the stock plastic piece, but offers far superior durability.
