HB Gridlock buggy tires

Having shown us the prototype back in January, HB are now releasing the Gridlock 1/8th scale buggy tire. The ideal tyre to bridge the gap between the HB Khaos and Megabite tyres, it features taller blocks than the HB Megabite, allowing the tyre to grip through loose, thick or ‘fluffy’ dirt. The Gridlock is also perfectly suited for tracks that have a clean racing line that is high traction and abrasive, the Megabite could have too much traction and the Gridlock would be great in these conditions. Available in extra soft pink compound for extra grip in low traction environments and soft red compound for racing or low-traction surfaces.

Venom supplied me with all my electronics for the meeting, including their new range of ‘Red’ race motors. My first big race the 2012 1/10th QLD Titles running 2WD Mod, 4WD Mod and Short course. The track down at Chargers RC was very well put together, the boys at the club did an excellent job in putting on a great event and providing everyone with a smooth and grippy surface to run on.

When the FTW laboratory tackled its first electric 1:8 buggy project, it solved the problem of concealing monstrous LiPos and ESCs under sleek bodywork by creating Exabyte for Tekno V4 conversions. Applying this solution to the Team Losi 8ight-E 2.0 resulted in the latest iteration of the Exabyte. Precisely tailored to fit the 8ight-E 2.0 platform, the fastback style of the Exabyte now features additional ventilation options to help keep critical components cool.
