JR Mitch wins Nitro Clash warmup

JR Mitch wins Nitro Clash warmup

Last weekend’s Nitro clash warm up was held in Coral Spring, FL and was a successful test day for all Nitro Racers attending the Clash. In the Pro Buggy A main, JR Mitch driving the Associated RC8.2 took the TQ spot. Mitch was able to checks out early in the race and was able to extend his lead to half a lap over 2nd in the first 10 min of the race. Just when everyone thought the race was over 2nd placed Renato Jr Tradardi slowly caught up to Mitch. When it was time for pit stops, it was all up to the pit men to make the difference.

Mitch’s pit stop wasn’t slow, but with the help of Maxy Velazco his lighting fast pit stop let Renato Jr take over the lead. In the last 5 minutes, the intense battle continued between the two Jrs, One was doing the table & double in the back section of the track, and the other Jr was doing triple & single over, two different lines but the same lap times, both laying down 25 second laps. In the last couple laps when Renato Jr had the lead, he made a small mistake at the first turn, letting JR Mitch slip by. Both drivers were so close to each other, but in the end, JR Mitch taking the win by .9 sec over Renato Jr. With Luis Perez running a consistent race to come from the back of the pack to take 3rd place overall.
