X-Factory X-6 Squared Ellis Stafford edition

X-Factory have announced the limited release of a special ‘Ellis Stafford’ Championship Edition X-6 Squared conversion Kit, which will be available from dealers in the U.K and France. Celebrating Ellis’ fantastic back-to-back BRCA 2WD National championship titles and TQ at the 2009 Euros, now customers have the chance to buy the car that closely represents that which Ellis uses with all the optional tuning and cosmetic parts found on the champions buggy. Limited to only 50 pieces customers must act quickly before they are gone. The buggy brings together all the standard features of the X6 Squared, including the mid motored concept, 4 gear transmission, LiPo friendly one piece chassis design and many more unique features with the addition of components from no less than nine outside manufacturers to bring you this kit.

KO Propo EX-5UR with KR-210S receiver

KO Propo together will their UK distributor RC Disco have released a new version of the EX-5UR radio set which brings down the price of this high spec entry level radio to just under £100. The new price has been achieved by supplying the radio with a two channel KR-210S receiver rather than the two previously included 2.4Ghz 3 channel RX units. As most racers never use the third channel, the new radio set does not compromise their performance as the transmitter still has the full range of adjustments & seven model memory.

Associated 1:18 Scale RTR Short Course Truck

Team Associated has released the SC18, a true scale 1:18 scale Ready-To-Run electric 4WD off-road short course race truck. The SC18 features a newly designed chassis with a fully enclosed, 2-belt drivetrain system that is capable of handling the extreme amount of power that today’s brushless motors and LiPo batteries can dish out. Along with durability, the drive train is sealed to help keep rocks and dirt away from the gears and pulleys. The SC18 comes fully assembled with a painted and decaled short course racetruck body, AMT™ Forged style wheels, aggressive tread multi-terrain tires, all designed to look just like the full-size race trucks that run in short-course off-road series around the country, and a totally new XP3-SS 2.4 GHz 3-Channel radio system.

Team Associated RC10B4.1 RTR buggy

Following on from last week’s release of 2 new RTR RC10T4.1 trucks, Team Associated now brings you the new brushless RC10B4.1 RTR. Fully assembled and sharing many of the same components as the RC10B4 Team kit, the brushless RC10B4.1 RTR incorporates upgraded features like a totally new 2.4GHz 3-Channel radio system and SHV1504 MG metal gear steering servo. A Reedy 3300kV brushless motor supplies the power, while the XP SC450-BL electronic speed control with LiPo cutoff provides smooth throttle control. A sealed gear differential improves reliability and allows fine tuning for different surface conditions. Also available in a brushed version, which is supplied with a 17-turn Reedy motor and XP SC200 electronic speed control.

Winners69 Year End race party

The Winners69 year end race party took place in the Miko Mall, Bandung, Indonesia last weekend and was sponsored by Winners69 Hobby Shop. The indoor carpet track layout saw a mix of technical and high speed sections and the race entry was open to 2 classes, 1/10 TC 11.5 R and Mini Class with the race format consisting of 3 x 5 minute runs for qualifying and 3 x 7 minute runs for the finals. In the Stock class it was young Xray Driver, Bowie Ginting who put in the fastest run to claim the TQ followed by Sewaka Ramadhani and Asdi. In the mini class, Imam Resi got TQ followed by long time racer, Yuri Taruna and Eric. In the Stock finals pole man Bowie made a very fast run in all three finals and won all legs to secure 1st place. Second place went to Sewaka Ramadhani followed by Asdi in 3rd place. It was a similar story in the Mini final as class TQ Imam Resi took first place followed by Yuri Taruna and Eric.

Richi Gomez to run Boss engines in 2010

SchepisModel have announced that they have made an agreement with the Spanish 1:8 offroad driver Richi Gomez. Richi will race the 2010 Spanish Nationals and other International competitions, including next November’s World Championships in Thailand, using the new Boss engines which has been designed and tuned by Mario Rossi.

Kevin Lee teams up with Vampire Racing

Vampire Racing have welcomed Kevin Lee to their racing team. As a European A finalist and winner of the BRCA 2wd National at Eden Park Raceway in 2009, he will use the entire Vampire Racing product range for 2010, and have direct input in the development of new Vampire Racing products for the upcoming season.
