Stephen Lander joins Capricorn

Capricorn RC have announced an agreement with UK driver Stephen Lander that will see him race their Lab F1-01 Formula car. Stephen will be competing in UK Formula class events using the Capricorn Lab F1-01 and he had the following to say:

I am very happy to be joining Capricorn for the 2017-18 season as a factory driver using the Lab F1-01. Having seen the high quality parts and innovative design used in many of the brands platforms I’m looking forward to representing Capricorn, working with Patrizio Rossi and the rest of his team helping with product development and supporting customers using Capricorn products. I would like to thank Patrizio for the opportunity to represent his products.

Ryan Cavalieri wins Australian Team Associated Champs

Ryan Cavalieri has taken out both the 2wd and 4wd open classes at the inaugural Team Associated championships in Glen Innes against a host of Australia’s top races. The 4 time world champion headlined a 95 strong entry list who travelled to the event situated in regional NSW Australia. Where the club had prepared a fast and challenging layout for their first major event.

Yokomo YZ-2 aluminium bulkhead mount

New for the YZ-2, Yokomo have released this aluminium bulkhead mount. This new optional part creates a more rigid front end which in turn helps to make the steering sharper. These new parts are very light weight, so they don’t disturb the car’s weight balance which is important for the car’s posture in the air while at the same time increasing the driving performance, especially on low grip track conditions.

New from X-Grip comes their latest Tyre additive, called X-Grip-Alfa. Featuring a new compound, the additive works with both foam and rubber tyres and claims to work with all surfaces.

Yokomo YZ-4 SF 4WD buggy

Yokomo have announced that release of their new 4wd buggy, the YZ-4 SF. Set to be released in October, in time for the IFMAR World Championships, the new car is shaft driven with this new platform completely designed from scratch. The same car which has been in testing by Ryan Maifield and Lee Martin and used to win events such as the Surf City Classic and the British National series, it also dominated the Japanese Nationals.

Reds Racing WR5 Black Diamond LTD engine

Reds Racing have introduced their new WR5 Black Diamond LTD engine. The Limited Edition engine utilises 5-ports, with special features based on the famous R5T Team Edition engine that has been a staple in the Reds lineup for 6 years. Available in two different models, the WR5 Black Diamond and WR5 Black Diamond HE High Efficiency, the latter version features low fuel consumption and smooth power band for high drivability. Reds have also improved the engine with a Black Diamond DLC Coated crankshaft which can last approximately 3-4 times more than a standard crankshaft thanks to the extreme hardness and low friction of the diamond coating. Even the conrod life is increased by about 50%. Supplied with an improved HCX carburettor featuring a new Flow Improved low speed needle and new 7075 aluminium fuel intake for improved tuning stability in extreme temperatures. Finally, the WR5 comes with a brand new black gloss cooling head which features an innovative design for improved air flow in order to increase the cooling and guarantee a low centre of gravity. The new cooling head is 10% lighter than the previous 5 ports generation.

VBC Racing WildFire D10 touring car

After many many months of development, VBC Racing have introduced their next generation competition touring car, the WildFire D10. The D10 is a fully re-engineered new car with many revolutionary designs including all new designed carbon composites parts, 80% of the parts are new.
