Freedom tease 1/10th 200mm formula pan car

Japanese company Freedom have released a first teaser of their forthcoming Freedom F1 car. Designed for the Japanese 200mm foam tyre class the kit utilises a rigid F103-style Tamiya front end, a single bellcrank steering system with floating servo mount, a highly adjustable battery and shock mounting plate as well as a rear power pod top plate that allows to use single or dual roll dampers. On top of this the car will be usable with inline or transversally mounted shorty packs. We bring you more information on the project as soon as they surface.

Elliott Boots to run MLC fuel

Pepe Group have announced the signing of Elliott Boots to the MLC fuel off-road factory team. The two-time European Champion and former Worlds Top Qualifier will complete his 2017 package with the MLC product range and MLC are looking forward to a successful season. Elliott says:

I am very pleased to be a part of MLC fuel, it’s a new adventure for me and together with MLC I feel that we will be able to accomplish a lot. I want to thank MLC for making me a part of the team. I look forward to 2017

Capricorn C-803 F1-style rear swaybar set

Coming from Capricorn is the F1-style rear swaybar set for the C-803 1/8th on-road car. The ball-raced system utilises a 2.3mm centre torsion rod that provides very precise response and the assembly is easy to adjust by using different thickness rods. In addition to the included “soft” 2.3mm come optional “medium” 2.5mm and “hard” 2.7mm versions to fine-tune chassis roll. The set includes all needed hardware and ball bearings and it is a direct fit.

Peter Roeygens wins Stock class at Lovan Challenge Rd3

Last weekend round three of the Belgian Lovan RC-Challenge was held and in the Touring Stock class it was Peter Roeygens who took the TQ position by a narrow 0.9s from Christophe Wojsznis and Mathias Van Laere in second and third respectively. The opening A-main then went to Christophe Libeer who came from the 4 spot on the grid, while pole setter Peter stroke back in A2 and A3 to grab the day’s win from Christophe in second and Mathias Van Laere, who scored to second place finishes, in third.

ProStar Wing Arms for AE, Mugen & SWorkz buggies

Coming from ProStar R/C and available for many 1/8th buggies with pivot ball front suspension are the front Wing Arms. The unique front upper arms are designed to match the buggy’s stock geometry but they can utilise a 3-D-printed wing element to improve downforce on large high-speed tracks. The front arms are made using a strong and durable carbon nylon mix and the sets are available for the Mugen MBX7, RC8B3 and SWorkz S35 buggies. Custom colours are available to match the front wings with the body’s paintjob.

Seta doubles at East Touring Series opener

The opening round of the East Touring Series was held at Sunter Speedway, Jakarta, under a cloudy sky with a light rain poured during the race. The event was held in several classes including the premier Touring Modified and Open Mini classes and in TC Mod it was Muhammad Izzah who snatched the TQ spot followed by Arya and Yusuf Zulkarnaen. Bowie Ginting suffered from a lot of issues in the qualifiers and only qualified in fourth. In the Open Mini class it was Arya who took the top qualifying position in dominant fashion.

Myron Kinnard wins at Thunder Jam XI

The Thunder Jam Snowbirds Warm-up was back again to kick off 2017 with its ninth running hosted by Thunder RC Raceway in Nashville, Tennessee. The event has brought in racers to compete for trophies, cash, and the glory. For an event that was created for kids to have their own special race, it has grown over the years to give racers of all ages a chance to win an event. For Saturday, the event would have three qualifiers and AA mains. This is a format that has been used for years and works very well to maximise the time so travellers can get home at comfortable times. Myron Kinnard (Team Associated) was able to lay in a TQ run in the first round of USVTA and he reset that TQ again as the day went on.
