GForce 10.5T drift motor & speedo combo

Coming soon from GForce is a 10.5T motor and 90A speed controller combo package for drift cars. The set includes the sensored Raijin 10.5T drift motor and the TS90A speed controller with the motor featuring large venting openings, a 3-piece aluminium motor can and an internal fan to lower the running temperatures. The included TS90A controller is highly adjustable, it sports turbo functions, a large heatsink and it is adjustable using GForce’s own Progbox programming device. The package will become available this month.

Willy Santana wins at Bali Regionals Rd2

Round two of the Bali Regional Buggy Championships was recently held at the Wilson track in Bali. In the 60 minute main final Willy Santana would take the overall win from Damar in second and Yoko Soemarto in third. Agung and Yulis would round out the top 5 result.

Jason Nugroho takes Jakarta Regional Rd1

The opening round of the Jakarta Regional series was held in Graha Bintaro over the weekend. Xray’s Jason Nugroho took the TQ after the qualifiers and he would also bring home the win in the main final with his Novarossi-powered ride. John Agus (Kyosho/O.S.) came in second while Adrian Wicaksono (Mugen/Reds Racing) completed the top 3 podium result. Behind the three Chopin Yusuf (TLR/Novarossi) and Rama Tribudiman (Team Associated/O.S.) rounded out the top 5.

Elliott Boots wins BRCA Buggy Nationals Rd1

The opening round of the BRCA 1/8th Nitro Buggy National Championship was held this past weekend at the Deerdale track. The main final saw a close fight between Kyosho’s Elliott Boots, Agama’s Darren Bloomfield and Mugen driver Lee Martin. Neil Cragg (Team Associated) at first broke away from the three but he suffered issues early in the race, allowing Elliott to grab the day’s win in difficult track and weather conditions with high winds from Bloomfield and Martin.

Batlle TQs & wins Spanish 1/8th buggy opener

The opening round of the Spanish 1/8th Nitro Buggy championship was held this past weekend at the Silla track in Valencia. 10-times national champion, Robert Batlle (Mugen) would take the TQ but hot on his heals was young Juan Carlos Canas (Mugen) who would take the 2 spot after the qualifiers from Mugen team mate Oscar Baldo. After the semis, Robert would still be on top to go from pole position into the A-main with the Mugen duo of Oscar and Bryan Baldo claiming the positions behind the Spanish record champion. The final then was a lively affair for Robert who at first lost a couple of positions due to a flame out but he reclaimed the lead to take the day’s win from Bryan Baldo while Portugal’s Ricardo Monteiro (TLR) grabbed the final podium spot.

Christian Mamesah wins at Indonesian Nats Rd2

The second round of the Indonesian Electric On-road Nationals was held at the SIS track in North Jakarta with a total of 50 racers attending in the three classes of Touring Open, FWD and Mini. The sugarwatered track offered a highspeed layout but the overall grip was described as complicated by some. In the Touring Open class Bowie Ginting took the overall TQ by securing round 2 and 3 but he would struggle in the mains as he only had one of the two allowed tyres sets at hand due to one set being unusable. Anyway Bowie was able to bring home the win in the opening A-main due to his closest competitor, Muhammad Izzah, making a series of mistakes despite being around 0.3 seconds faster per lap on fresh tyres.

Roche Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit

Roche have introduced the Rapide F1-2016 1/10th formula kit. The car is based on a narrow design 2.5mm high-grade carbon fibre chassis to reduce chassis scrub in corners and it also features a front suspension system made up of 2.5mm carbon parts that allow to adjust the caster angle in a range of 3 degree up to 12 degree. The front end also allows the easy adjustment of the camber angle and steering Ackermann while incorporating an aluminium servo mount that can be used in a floating and fixed design. Other features include low friction pivot balls and ball studs, and polished kingpins. The chassis allows to run the battery pack in an inline or transversal position, and the kit includes a 7075 aluminium rear motor pod that utilises rear axle mounts with ride height spacers and the option to run the rear axle in +/-1mm forward or backward positions. The kit is rounded out by a highly precise ball differential with 5mm thrust bearing, clamp-type wheel adapter and a steel main shaft.
