WRC Racing low-profile shock membranes & X-rings

WRC Racing introduce new low-profile shock membranes and special O-rings for the use with the company’s shock absorbers. The membranes allow for easier rebound value adjustment while the X-shaped O-rings are meant to reduce the damper’s friction to a minimum. The membranes are sold in packs of four while the O-rings come in 10-piece packages.

Yeah Racing E10 ball-raced aluminium steering set

Yeah Racing have the version 2 aluminium steering set for HPI’s entry-level E10 chassis available. The set contains purple anodised aluminium steering bellcranks, ball bearings, bushings, steering links and hardware to upgrade the E10’s standard steering to a more durable and precise assembly. The kit is a direct replacement and improves the steering response by offering a lot less flex compared to the standard plastic parts.

Tamiya FF-04 Evo FWD limited edition chassis

Tamiya Blog have a first rendering of Tamiya’s forthcoming FF-04 Evo front wheel drive chassis available. The latest generation FF chassis builds on the carbon fibre double deck chassis concept of the FF-03 Evo and features a range of upgraded and newly designed parts. The chassis itself is made from 2.5mm carbon fibre with a 2mm upper deck. The suspension arms are taken over from the TRF418 while the power is transferred by a XV-01 design gearbox. The limited edition kit will also come with a 3mm aluminium motor plate and other alloy parts such as the front brace, servo mount, turnbuckles and bulkhead. The package is rounded out by a gear diff unit, fluorine-sealed ball bearings, TRF shock absorbers and dual joint universal driveshafts. The FF-04 Evo is set for a release later this year.

Finish nitro on-road nationals Rd4 – Report

The KYPAK club in Kouvola hosted the 4th round of the Finnish nitro on-road championships. Unlike in the previous races the weather was cold and drivers were expecting rain showers, but at the end only a few minutes of light rain during the day caused slippery conditions in 2nd round of qualifying, with the remainder of the day being dry. In the 3 rounds of qualifying Panu, Matias and Teemu were fighting of the TQ, but it was Matias who managed to take the overall TQ spot in 3 round in front of Teemu, Panu and Alexander.

Belgium/NL 1/10 off-road championship Rd6 – Report

The 6th round this year’s BNK 1/10th off-road championship took place in Kampenhout, Belgium with some 80 drivers in attendance. Following a rainy practice on Saturday the drivers were greeted by sunny weather on Sunday. In the 2WD class young Brent Ausloos (Schumacher) took the TQ spot from Nicolas Risser (Team C) while TLR driver Wesley Van Helmond completed the top 3 after the qualifiers.

Renaud Savoya wins at Big Apple Nitro Challenge

During last weekend’s Big Apple Nitro Challenge Xray’s Renaud Savoya brought home the win in the supporting 1/8th E-buggy class. Following some electronic issues in qualifying Renaud took home the win in the dual A-mains for his first E-buggy win on foreign soil. Team Associated driver Gunnar Rieck  finished 2nd while TLR’s Anthony Mazzara came in 3rd.

Shepherd introduce a new lightweight 2-speed shaft for all Velox V10 vehicles. The shaft is hollowed to reduce weight and rotating mass by about 30 percent, resulting in improved acceleration. Machined from premium steel the part is heat-treated and ground for maximum precision and a smooth ball-bearing fit without sacrificing durability.

GForce brushless motor analyser

New from GForce comes the motor analyser, a device to check multiple parameters of car and flight brushless motors. Housed in a sturdy case with a blue backlit display, the motor analyser allows to check the motor’s KV rating, voltage and amp draw, as well as the sensors. A timing test helps to precisely adjust the timing level while a noise level test can give a hint on the motor’s ball bearing condition. The motor tester is made for the use with 7.4V to 8.4V input power sources and it comes with a set of adapter wires for the motor and power supply.
