Hampus Berg wins at Swedish Off-road Champs Rd1

Round 1 of the Swedish 1/8th Off-road Championship was held at the Tomelilla Motorklubb this past weekend. HB Racing’s Hampus Berg was in control of things in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class as he took the overall TQ, pole position for the A-main and also the win in the 45-minute encounter. It wasn’t without problems though as Hampus traded the lead in the main with eventual runner-up, David Ronnefalk a couple of times. After swapping positions in the opening stages Hampus was able to stretch the lead about mid-race only to suffer from a flame out during a pitstop in the later stages of the race. David was promoted into the lead and looked to bring home the win only to roll his buggy on the last lap, allowing Hampus to take over the lead again and bring home the win from David 2nd and Oskar Levin 3rd, making it an all HB Racing podium.
