Futaba BLS373SV large scale servo

German Futaba distributor Ripmax has introduced the new BLS373SV high-torque servo for large scale applications. The high-voltage compatible device supports the T7PX HighSpeed SR mode, it is S.Bus and S.Bus2 compatible and programmable using Futaba’s CIU-2/3 USB adapters. It features stainless steel top and output gears for strength, four ball bearings and Cobalt-Samarium motor magnets for precision and best possible performance. At 7.4V input the servo is able of pulling up to 37kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.11s.

Xray Racing Series Offroad Germany – Report

The a round of the German Offroad Xray Racing Series was held as part of the Intermodellbau hobby fair last weekend. Six different classes attracted about 70 entries and in 2WD Mod Buggy it was Yannic Wilcke who won the opening A-main over Joe Streff by a margin of 0.5 seconds. Yannic also won the second race and thus secured the overall victory as Joe finished 2nd overall. Olaf Grabaum finished 3rd to round out the top 3.

Delorme & Varinard win at French EP Champs Rd2

The second round of the French Electric On-road National Championship was held in Manspach, Alsace with more than 70 entries. In the Touring 13.5T Blinky class Pierre Delorme soon found a good pace in the low grip and hot conditions and he was able to win the three qualifiers on Saturday by a good margin. The final two qualifiers on Sunday again saw Pierre on top and he did also win the two opening A-mains for the overall for in front of Serge Boudet 2nd and Jeremy Delalondre 3rd.

Kyosho Inferno Neo 3.0 1/8th nitro RTR buggy

Coming soon on Kyosho’s popular Inferno 1/8th buggy platform is the Inferno Neo 3.0 ReadySet RTR nitro buggy. The vehicle makes use of the Championship winning MP7.5, comes factory-assembled and features performance parts such as front universal driveshafts, big bore shock absorbers, fluid-filled and tuneable front, centre and rear differentials as well as sealed receiver and receiver battery boxes. The buggy is powered by a KE21SP recoil starter nitro engine for ease of use a lots of power while the KC cross tyres ensure traction and stability on a variety of surfaces. The kit is rounded out by a pre-cut body shell in two colour choices and included with the RTR buggy also comes a Synchro KT-231P+ 2.4GHz transmitter. The buggy will hit stores in May.

Mugen introduce MBX8 Eco 1/8th E-Buggy kit

Coming soon on Mugen’s recently introduced MBX8 1/8th Nitro Buggy platform is the MBX8 Eco E-Buggy kit. The kit will utilise many of the MBX8’s features such as from front and rear suspension mounts, box-shaped suspension arms with interchangeable stiffeners, as well as new front and rear gearboxes, a lightweight wing mount and a lightweight, IMFAR-legal rear wing. Other features include a redesigned main chassis plate for improved rough track handling, as well as straight-cut 13T bevel and 44T diff gears for optimised efficiency, acceleration and run time. Mugen’s HTD High Traction Differentials are included from stock as is a redesigned receiver box and 4S battery tray. A calming-design servo saver nut, alloy front and rear shock towers as well as front and rear universal centre driveshafts round out the package.

Xtreme Racing Unlimited Desert Racer CF panels

Xtreme Racing have introduced a set of lightweight drivers compartment panels cut from carbon fibre. The parts were designed as a direct replacement for the standard plastic items and they are made from high-quality 1.2mm plates. The 8-piece set uses the original hardware and it is available from now on.

Vasco Sousa wins Portuguese 1/8th Nats

The recent Portuguese IC Track Nationals were held at the Travessas track in S. João da Madeira, Portugal. In the 1/8th Nitro class it was Joaquim Rego who took the TQ honours but in the main final it was Vasco Sousa who held his nerves together to bring home the win in front of teammate José Félix in 2nd and Raul Prata in 3rd place.
