Pro-Line Slide Job, Prism & KO2 SC tyres

Coming from Pro-Line are three new 1/10th short course tyres in the form of the Slide Job SC, Prism SC and T/A KO2 tyres. Starting with the Slide Job SC, the tread was specially developed for dirt oval racing and was inspired by the tyres found in full-size motorsport so drivers can have realistic style and performance on their SC Mod. The Slide Job SC features rounded side tread for consistent slide action that will not catch ruts and flip the truck when it is thrown up into the corner. The multi-block tread pattern creates great forward grip combined with long lasting and consistent performance. The 2.2”/3.0” tyre is available in the grippy M2 compound.

The recent fourth round of the Xray Racing Series Slovenia was held at the Genius Ring in Medeuzza, Italy. Since this was the final round of the series drivers made full use of Saturday’s practice in order to fine-tune their cars for Sunday’s race. The Touring Stock class saw some great battles between B.A. and Andrea as they touched a couple of times in the opening A-main and B.A. had to wait for Andrea which promoted Edoardo into the lead. In the second leg B.A. managed to somehow overtake Andrea to take the win and shift the decision for the overall win into the final A-main. Andrea was leading A3 in the opening stages but he suffered a technical issue with a motor connector coming loose, allowing B.A. to take the overall from Edoardo 2nd and Andrea 3rd.

Robson White wins at Winter Series Rd4

Round 4 of the Winter Series was held at NDOR in Nottingham recently. The track is a full blown astro turf with big jumps, fast flowing rhythm sections and the added bonus of the new section with the drop off, which was added for last year’s national meeting. Robson White was off to a good start and managed to take TQ in round one and he also managed to TQ the final rounds, putting a strong 11 lapper in round 3 to show a dominant performance. The temperature was dropping even more as the finals approached but Robson decided to keep all the car settings and oils the same for the final. The start of the A-final would be clean which allowed Robson to get a way and start to pull a slight lead, the first few laps were a bit hectic as the drivers tried to get a good position, but Robson managed to get into the grove pretty quick and start to increase his lead over the chasing pack. There were a few issues with back markers throughout the 20-minute final but all in all it was great clean race. Robson chose to do two fuel stops as he was still running a new engine in, this did not impact the race as he went on to take the A-final win. Joining the young man in the A final, also with their RC8B3.1’s were Julian Jessop and Michael Isaacs. Both drivers also made the podium, making it a Team Associated podium lockout.
