3DRC floating 25mm twin fan mount

Germany’s 3DRC have introduced their all-new twin fan mount for 25mm fan units. The 3-D-printed part is of a clamping design and it was developed to take two standard 25x25x10mm fans which makes for optimised cooling of the whole motor can when compared to single 30mm or 40mm fans while also ensuring a lower overall centre of gravity. The mount is best used in front of the motor and a large mounting patch ensures secure yet tweak-free mounting using high-quality double sided tape.

3DRC have introduced their new front suspension flex arms for the Team Associated F6 formula car. They are more flexible that the stock carbon fibre arms and improve the car’s handling over the stock parts. They also increase overall steering and look a bit more “scale-ish” than the standard sheet material arms. The 3-D-printed parts are 5mm thick for durability and they are available through 3DRC’s Shapeways store or select model shops.

3DRC Formula Aero Wings for 1/10th formula cars

3DRC have introduced their all-new Formula Aero Wings suitable for most 1/10th formula pan cars. They mimic the now wider and lower wings used in Formula 1 and they are available with the industry-standard Tamiya-style mounting pattern or as dedicated variant for the Team Associated F6 – the latter requiring the F6’s lower wing mount. Both come with DRS mock-ups for looks and the universal wing also sports a monkey seat for even greater scale appearance. The wings are tough and durable as all of 3DRC’s 3-D-printed parts, however they are not as sturdy as moulded plastic wings and may crack as the result of very hard impacts. As usual the parts are available through 3DRC’s Shapeways store or at select model shops.

German brand 3DRC has introduced the new 64 pitch pinion caddy. Coming 3-D-printed, the pinion gear holder was designed to hold 38T to 48T 64 pitch pinions with the special design doing away for any additional tools to secure the gears as they simply clip in place. Holes in the backplate allow to easily spot the gear size of pinions with size markings on the front. The carrier is usable with most of today’s 64 pitch pinions and it is available through 3DRC’s Shapeways store or at select model shops.

3DRC Aero 190mm touring car rear wings

3DRC have introduced their new Type A and Type B Aero rear wings for 190mm touring cars. The 3-D-printed downforce enhancers sport a full scale motorsport inspired design with dual flaps and inner plates that reinforce the whole structure while also guiding the airflow. The Type A wing features rearward shaped elements which make for a steeper angle in the middle and a lower angle on the sides while the Type B wing has forward bend flaps for a lower centre angle, giving the two wings different aerodynamic characteristics. Both are made for touring car bodies with 100mm screw distance, they feature 40x20mm side plates, double mounting holes for easy fore and aft adjustment, and at 10g they are light of weight. Strong and flexible yet not as forgiving as polycarbonate wings the parts are intended for the more experienced driver and like all 3DRC products they are available through Shapeways.
