Avid Awesomatix steering arm HD

Avid have introduced their new HD steering arm for the Awesomatix A800 and older A700 touring cars. It mimics the geometry of the AM14LS steering arm but was designed with a few features to make it more durable, hence the heavy duty classification. Typically the arm bends at the M3 hole in the middle of the arm which Avid have changed to an M2.5 and added material around the hole and along the sides of the arm to beef it up. The lever is machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, it comes black anodised and the set includes two steering arms, two M2.5×10 stainless steel screws, and an Avid mini decal.

Coming from Avid are their new 2S balance charge lead cables with stepped 4mm/5mm bullet-type connectors. Designed to be colour coordinated for charging 2S battery packs, the pre-configured wires include gold-plated 4mm to 5mm bullets on the battery end to cover all battery types and 4mm bullets on the charging end. Comes with the popular XH 3pin balance plug, which most trim one of the plastic alignment rails with an x-acto to plug right into the charger instead of the balance port. Or owners can use the included XH 7pin if they don’t want to brave that. Balance leads are 63.5mm longer than the charge leads so they can easily be plugged into any charger design. The cables are available in black, red or blue colour.
